Summer Kitchen Bakery

I highly recommended this beautiful country-style bakery. The pies are the best I’ve ever had and desserts and hot drinks are great too. The outdoor seating area is lovely and the staff are very responsive and quick with their service. It’s our new favourite spot for catching up with friends! It’s also kid/pram friendly with vegetarian options too! We returned to take home the custard tart and that was delicious!

Heard so much about this place. We went around 830AM on Monday. Great food indeed and love the garden seating. Coffee was ok, a tad weak to my preference. Had madras slice and apple turnover pastry. They both perfectly spiced and sugared. Great pastry!! Bought the sourdough to take home. Fingers crossed as good as everyone told us😅

Having such a delicious bakery in Tasmania is a great factor to make travel enjoyable. It's a must stop by for lunch or brunch. You'd better not expect too much just coffee. Coffee tastes burnt a lot, so I recommend milking it like a latte. And you have to visit early to taste everything.

This place has a special place in my heart. Everything here is excellent and personally I think it's one of the best sourdoughs I have ever eaten. They do a delicious wallaby pie as well as being very vego and vegan friendly with plenty of other offerings. I enjoyed the Homity pie - so yummy. I can never go past their custard tarts for a sweet treat. I wish this place existed back home in Adelaide. Cute place to sit outside under the big tree as well.

I went to the bakery on multiple occasions. I had the ham and cheese croissant, which was delicious and good to share! I also had an amazing oat latte that the lady made specially to my taste. Each time I went the ladies working were so friendly I felt like they were my best friends! You also must try the lemon blueberry cheesecake filled donut 🍩

A wonderful hidden gem on the outskirts of Huonville with an amazing array of pastries and bread on offer. This visit was a quick stop for coffee, however the gluten-free pumpkin cheesecake with maple cream was irresistible and indeed quite delicious.
The staff were very friendly & welcoming, making for a delightful stopover.

Stopped in for a brief lunch at around 2 and found that most of the pies had already gone. That’s where the negatives end though, with the steak and pepper pie, homity pie and beef mince pie all being absolutely delicious. Sausage rolls were some of the best I’ve had in Tasmania. Overall, a great and very delicious experience.

Wow.. Organic Breads, Pies and pastries made onsite. Heaps of staff to get you sorted. Fantastic coffee a fire inside and ample room for small groups and great friends. Also a great earthy vibe that heals the soul for Free.

Staff were friendly and food was delicious despite there being not many pies etc available at 2pm. The potato and leek pie , beef mince pie, and sausage rolls were superb. Highly recommend.

The most delectable pastries, bread, sweet treats and coffee in the valley! The savoury danish is to die for, and the peach iced tea is the perfect cold drink to quench your thirst on a warm summer arvo! Not to mention, the front of house staff are the loveliest people ever.
If you're in Southern Tasmania, DO NOT MISS THIS GEM! It's worth the drive from Hobart!

Such a good bakery, amazing bread, awesome pastries, we also got a piece of blueberry slice but it didn’t last more 30 seconds so no photos for that one. Highly recommend stopping there if you’re driving by.
You can also find their pies and bread to local IGAs as well. The lentil pie was good.

Insanely good bakery. Staff are wonderful, breads, cakes and pastries are exceptional (the Madras, Hunza and Homity pies are my faves). Possibly the best almond croissant I've ever had (sorry Pigeon Whole), big almond chunks, super flakey outside, slightly gooey inside.

The best bakery in Huonville! My favourites are Custard cake, croissant, and Chai latte. ❤

We really enjoyed our morning tea here with yummy fresh cakes and coffee this morning. Great atmosphere inside and out in the courtyard. Highly recommend

This was incredible! The food was delicious, the staff were lovely, and the seating area was so cute. We tasted the homity pie, the wallaby and potato pie, a toasted sandwich, the custard tart and the carrot cake, and all were divine. Will be recommending this place to everyone!

Delicious flaky sausage roll. The custard tart was light with lemony custard. Yum. Friendly. Beautiful location out the back.

Great array of baked goods including a range of sourdough loaves. The sprouted rye is particularly good. Dine-in cafe is very popular for breakfast and brunch.
