Nice calm estuary ideal for swimming or kayaking. They have ample paid and free parking spots available. Use the lower car park to access the estuary- but it’s a paid parking. Or park at the upper parking spot and it’s free and offers exquisite views.

Only went there to see the view, saw lots of people with body boards, kayaking, snorkelling, playing beach ball and some fishing. Didn't see the the spot for sand boarding from the Estuary. Shame, would be nice to watch people get up and down from the sand dunes. 😁
There's a little cafe there.

The Moore River Estuary is a charming and picturesque location in Western Australia. Visitors are greeted with breathtaking views and a superb atmosphere.

Best to visit during low tide as you will be able to walk along the sandbar for a very unique experience!!

On arriving if the office isn’t open, a basket with an envelope with your name on it can be found in a basket near the front door.
Within the envelope is a remote fob pad for vehicle access to the park - boom gate. Fob not required for boom gate exit - sensor. Also a plan of the park with your location highlighted. A 5 km driving limit is enforced within the grounds with a 10:00 pm quiet time to be adhered to.
This review does not focus on units or clamping conditions that are available also.
Large tree coverage to area.
Near the entry is a General store which is very well priced. Eg we bought 2 litre milk for $3.20 on our 2 week stay. Fishing gear and bate available. Can purchase hot foods as well and order. Coffee to go which seams to appear very busy. Open most of the time. Eftpos machine in General store
Fish and chips to feed 2 comfortably was $15.50 and rated a 7/10. See photo of menu. Gas bottle exchange available.
Kitchen with microwaves and ample gas barbecue plates area. Free barbecue use. Food can be stored in fridge.(not alcohol) barbecue are under cover.
Have seen Coles delivery trucks make deliveries to sites.
Disable bays and access ramp to the General store or 5 steps before entry.
No internet provided by caravan park.
If you have Optus or Vodaphone the coverage will be somewhat a problem at times based on your location and time of day.
We use Aldi who have Telstra as service provider. We made phone calls from the beach shore with little to no problem. 4 G internet wherever we were on site.
There is a public phone box near entry for those with poor reception.
Playground near the entry of the park. No pets permitted beyond gate entry.
The park has greatly improved with green grass cover from our previous visit so the wind marine gusts Guilderton is renowned for has reduced the severity of dust. Be assured you will need to clean down caravan and car after the fine dust that gets around. Anchor annex, tents very well due to strong gusts at times. Don’t forget your jackets even in summer, you will regret it.
For caravans, there are concrete hard stands in very good condition.
When setting up they advise not to park in front of your site however we did not see this being enforced.
Powered caravan sites have RCD,s,a tap per site and shared drainage area. 15 amp metre lead or hose appear to be adequate.
Sites marked out well
The ablutions are 21 years old and a little tired. The water pressure and heat is very adequate. Cleaned once a day.
The river mouth is sectioned off by gates for the young. Often young ones riding their bicycles, so exercise care.
Basket ball small court near river. 4x4 meters approx.
Easy access to river and beach via concrete path or wooden bridge.
Catching small brown in river and tailor hearing and occasional snapper at beach morning or at sunset. Can have heavy seaweed and a decent beach rod or sinker required to have a chance cast out enough. Ocean usually very rough, not advisable for young ones or without adequate supervision as a recommendation.
Many paddle board or kyack in the river only although can be very difficult pending the wind to even get away from the shore.

Beautiful place to spend your weekend. Suggest carry your own food if you do not want to spend extra for a very basic standard.

River and ocean meet at the beach! The water was warm today and good for this very hot day! On the river side it's great for kids and family. Very calm and not overly busy.

What better way is there other than to spend a day out from Perth than at the Moore River Estuary in Guilderton. Camp out on the river bank or the sand bar, the choice is yours. The sand bar does provide some piece of mind that there are no sharks in the water and no river current so the kids can swim around freely and do crazy dives off the pontoon in the deeper area of the river. We also took some kayaks to explore the river
upstream and fish for some black bream. Good toilet and BBQ facilities nearby but advise to get there early on public holidays as close by parking does fill up quickly. Take a gazebo or other shelter as there are no trees near the shore's edge to get respite from the sun. Unfortunately the local shop nearby was closed for renovations, but there was a coffee truck parked up outside to get that early morning caffeine fix.

This place is as good as I expected. I was against in my opinion to go there on weekdays but actually if you want to take some good experience of swimming in a river then you should go on weekdays.
There is a combination of river and ⛱ beach which creates awesome views for visitors.

What better place to go on a Sunny Autumn day. Evergreen place near Perth for a family outing or with friends.you can stay here all day along and won't get bored with the lovely meandering river hoping the mighty Indian Ocean and separated by and bar. Paddle boats or Kayaking or just camping here for fun. Add to it a mix of BBQ and you have a perfect day to spend near Perth. Don't have to drive 3-4 hrs away looking for that serene place..

Love this place!!! Hands down the cleanest river/ beach I've been too, especially the public toilets!!! Water was so clear, def felt like I was away from the hustle and bustle from Perth. Took us just over an 1hrs drive through Gingin way. Cannot wait to be back. Nice grassy areas close to the shore and heaps of parking for cars and boats. Camp grounds near by and little shop as well. Def worth a visit!!
