Dropped in to the Coolah Valley Hotel after a long and tiring drive.
Ordered a pizza to go, but had a glass of wine while i was waiting.
The owner Ray came from behind the bar and shared with me some local history....his own story about how he ended up with the Pub was pretty cool.
The atmosphere was so friendly, whole place just had a great vibe.
Will definitely stop next time im through that way!

On a road trip to NSW from the Gold Coast recently, we decided to do the first leg to Mudgee in one day (28/03/2022). I needed a loo stop at Coolah and we stopped at the Coolah Valley Pub. It took me a while to get out of the car and as I stood slowly on the footpath a young woman appeared from the Pub and asked if we were OK. I explained what I needed and she assisted me and my wheeled walker up the stairs and into the ladies. She waited for me and then helped me return to our car.
I am so sorry that I did not get her name but she was a wonderful example of true country hospitality and care. She appeared from nowhere out of concern for late travellers and could not have been more kind or helpful. Maurie and I would like to say a very big thank you to this Good Samaritan.
Warm regards from Susie and Maurie Lang.

Have visited many outback NSW hotels in the last 4 years.
This one is right up with the best we have stayed in..
Nice rooms and beds.
GREAT Showers .... AND after staying in about 40 western NSW pub's..
Here is the only place where the publican bought the 4 of us a beer.

Counter meals only. Charged extra $3.50 for mashed potatoes but did not give discount for taking off the chips.
Other than that the crumbed lamb chops were really nice and my better half really enjoyed the wedges.

Staff were rude straight off the bat not sure if this explains the 45 minute wait for a chicken snitty and a steak
End up getting a refund after receiving my steak which was served raw “blue” when ordered as a medium rare
