Nomads St Kilda (Base)

An amazing hostel for solo travelers! The staff are so welcoming especially Ronnie on reception who checked me in, showed me around and helped with all my questions. Monday night bingo is such a good time, definitely don’t miss this if you want a party and a night to remember. Housekeeping did a great job the rooms were cleaned everyday and Ben the housekeeper changed my sheets for me rather than having to do it myself which is a nice change from other hostels. The bar is always busy with different events and great people! Also free breakfast and the blue haired American (think her name was Alice) making pancakes fresh in a morning was so nice.

Hey! I would like to thank this hostel and the people who welcomed me, a big thank you to you! I stayed there a few months ago, it was my first day in Melbourne, even in Australia, with very poor basics in English and Anna, whom I can never thank enough, really took the time to help me . Even when I had problems they gave me time to rest after 25 hours of traveling to resolve them afterwards! At the slightest problem they were there to meet my expectations, I hope Anna sees this message because I am super grateful for the help she gave me. I highly recommend this hostel, the people are kind and patient, it's clean and the breakfasts are good! The rooms, like the showers and the common areas are also clean, there is nothing to say, perfect! Without forgetting the atmosphere and the location! I would come back without hesitating !! Best hostel in St Kilda, right next to the beach, awesome staff, very clean. Very easy to make friends, very sociable place. Free breakfast in the morning. Good facilities, kitchen, laundry... 100% recommended!!!

This hostel has to be one of the best hostels I have stayed at,
I have been on and off staying here and everytime I go anywhere else I always find myself wanting to go back,
all of staff are lovely and so helpful such a lovely environment to be in,
the rooms are nice and clean you never feel dirty,
If you stay here on your own or with friends it’s ideal as you fell safe and surrounded by happy people,
there is also always something to do here it a really social place.

Believe me when I say Nomads is the place to be. If you’re travelling by yourself or in a group this is the perfect spot. All the staff are so friendly and helpful but Jack in particular stands out, so easy to talk to and will gladly help you settle into the hostel and the area.
There is something to do every night and you will never be bored.

Me and a friend stayed here for Taylor swift, and had an amazing time! The hostel is close to public transport and easily accessible. The staff were incredible (shout out to the Blonde English girl working the counter on Friday/saturday. She was so friendly and welcoming, and made sure to help us with anything we needed). The crowd at the hostel were amazing as well, the vibe there is immaculate, and I will be staying here again.

I stayed here for a little under five months and I loved it! This is a great place for both long and short term travelers. Extended stay guests will appreciate the kitchen facilities and the staff's effort to keep all the facilities clean and in working order. Short term travelers will enjoy the atmosphere and location, there are always new people to meet and activities to do! Big thanks to all the staff who are now great friends of mine! Especially Ana, Carrie, Lexie, Ben, Eva, Ellie, Lisanne, Niamh, Quentin, Luke, Isaac, Danny, Oscar, Mary, Ronnie, Javier, Jack, Ollie, Nathan and Mark!

Loved this hostel !! It is truly amazing and I want to go back. I felt so much like home and all the people are so nice !! There are many activities that is arranged by the hostel. I really recommend staying here!! It’s the best !!!

I recently stayed at the Base and I was thoroughly impressed with the experience that I came back 3 times ! The friendly and welcoming atmosphere immediately put me at ease. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing everything I needed for a good night's sleep. The hostel was conveniently located, close to public transportation and tourist sites.

And how can I not talk about the staff.

The staff at the hostel created a wonderful atmosphere. Their friendly and welcoming nature made everyone feel at home. They organized fun activities and events each night, providing a fantastic opportunity to socialize and meet fellow travelers. I will never forget the incredible monday bingo with Isaac and the wonderful barmaid Amy !

I had the pleasure of receiving exceptional assistance from the charismatic Quentin at the reception during my stay. He displayed a remarkable level of professionalism and went above and beyond to help me with any queries or concerns I had. Quentin's friendly and approachable demeanor made me feel comfortable approaching him for assistance, and he always took the time to provide thorough and thoughtful answers. His dedication to ensuring a pleasant experience for guests like myself was truly remarkable. I cannot praise Quentin enough for his outstanding service. He is truly a remarkable individual, and his presence at the reception greatly contributed to the positive experience I had at the hostel.

Overall, it was a fantastic stay and I highly recommend this youth hostel to anyone looking for affordable and enjoyable accommodation during their travels and if you meet Quentin there is chance that he goes with you on holiday x.

I loved this hostel! The bar was fantastic with fun events, and the daily breakfast was a great bonus. The rooms were clean and tidied up every day. Special shoutout to Ana, the receptionist, who was incredibly sweet and attentive. Highly recommended!

I stayed in base for nearly a month and my experience here was really great. Perfect place to meet new people, it's very social, lots of parties especially bingo nights !
The place was nice and clean and the staff was lovely, really helpful, especially Quentin who helped me found places to visit and plan my next trip !

I didn't stay, just went to the bar. Was not a bad atmosphere with a pool table and beer pong on Friday. Young crowd and cheaper drinks than you'll find in much of st Kilda.

Stay 3 weeks at the hostel, and everything was perfect. The nights activities, the breackfast included. The rooms super clean. The staff 10 points, all of them specially Ana, allways helping at everithing i need. If i have to return no doubt it for a sec. 🙂🙂

Ana is the most beautiful funny and friendly person I meet in Melbourne she’s THE personne you need to meet in Melbourne
