River Cafe

River Cafe offered a Special Summer deal. It was the great way to experience this restaurant and its food options. River Cafe is in a perfect location. It was easy to access and parking was not a difficulty. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. I will definitely visit again.

Went to the River cafe for their Spring three course menu. We were welcomed by a bubbly young lady who made you feel welcome. Escorted to our seats and then served cold still water on a 40 degree day
We started off with home made focaccia with olive oil and candied balsamic. Next came a tasting plate of mozzarella and pea arancini, sticky balsamic belly and crostini.
For the main meal I ate the pork cutlet with vegetable soffritto, spiced yoghurt, kohlrabi and cider jus. My partner ate the potato gnocchi which was house made with royal blue potato, gorgonzola sauce, spinach and walnuts.
Both main meals we shared and were both excellent. I have never tasted better gnocchi than today.
Desert was limoncello cheesecake. I also had a light beer.
Quick and friendly service. Great scenes of Torrens river and the city. About 25 people dining and I believe they all had this menu. At $39 a head it was excellent value.
We have been here on a couple of occasions and always enjoyed the food. Today's food went above and beyond

Haven't been here for many years.
Had the small plate offer . This was fantastic, able to try 6 different dishes 3 each , between 6 of us we were able to try them all . The portions were quite substantial. Added dessert was very nice.
The staff were all very nice and helpful. The restaurant is located in a beautiful area . Must remember this gem for future lunches 🙂

Fabulous atmosphere, food, and service. And the view of Adelaide at night is breathtaking. Highly recommended.

Welcoming. Relaxing. Exceptional. Staff were courteous, attentive but not hovering, friendly. Food was well presented, tasty and ample. Menu covered all bases, easy to read and enticing. Curved glass windows on river-side-setting overlooking the water showing off the reflected lights from the city. Brilliant.

Awesome city and river views from the restaurant! Food is equally awesome! Tapas platter was nice and can be shared between 2 to 3. Barramundi fillet - Boston Bay Mussels - Dessert - Panna cotta

Had an anniversary luncheon at this venue recently ...not mine but a rellie.
Setting - was just gorgeous....food was amazing, and the waitress was a great conduit between the kitchen and the guests, looking after both ends of things with a generous dollop of panache.
Definitely recommend having a meal here, if you haven't before. I will be back.

Great experience all round, food offering suited everyone.& we left quite satisfied.
For one reason or another i feel some years ago this place was on another level compared to now but as i mentioned we walked away happy

The river cafe is a modern Italian cafe style venue serving home feeling food. Interesting flavours and huge sizes are served. A participant of Festival of Food too.

Great View, Tasty food and Good customer service, the waiter we had made the night that extra bit special, he had a great sense of humour! if he reads this review “extra glutton” he will remember us 😊🍫

The steak is delicious. The salmon steak cook prefect. The pasta is rich and creamy.

Easy to find parking. Kid friendly. Lovely staffs.

Beautiful food, great new refined menu. The Covid rules are all being respected without restricting the quality of the service. Im not a photographer, but i took some photos anyway, only $50 for two courses, $60 for three. Great work to the staff as well, very well prepared to adjust with the covid laws.

Great food, very friendly and prompt staff. Loved the beef fillet and fish and chips here. If you haven't been a fantastic place to go close to the city.

From the outside this restaurant does not look inviting. Do not be deceived! It is fantastic. The food was delicious and varied, while the service was sublime. Our server remembered everything we ordered and didn't need to ask who had what drink or dish. And we never felt rushed at any point. Very impressed!

We had the beef cheeks and eye fillet. Both were amazingly cooked. Entree and dessert were delicious

Excellent cuisine. We have the prawn pasta and the marinara pasta followed by two delightful desserts. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
