Mt Jukes Eco Retreat

Mt Jukes Eco Village is one truly amazing, beautiful and peaceful place in the middle of stunning nature full of wonderful wildlife, tropical fruits, good weather, kind and hard working people, super tasty food (!) and really nice comfortable tiny houses next to a big majestic Jukes mountain. We instantly felt good there, in very high energy and easygoing relaxing vibes.
I would happily go back any time to relax, meditate, be humble with others and my authentic self and just enjoy the beauty of nature. Thank you for creating that space, showing your kindness and hosting us so well! One of the best experiences and definitely a place to visit in colourful Queensland!

We joined the other guests for the one day retreat and had an excellent experience. Dave took us through a series of experiences throughout the day such as Yoga, theory, sound healing and topped with a sauna and dip in the natural spring on the property. Food was absolutely beautiful cooked and prepared by the amazing Aune. 100% recommend.

I recently had the privilege of spending time at this incredible eco retreat, and it was truly a transformative experience.

From the moment you arrive, you feel a sense of peace and connection to nature.

The retreat's commitment to sustainability and eco-friendliness is impressive, with solar-power, organic gardens, and a minimal-waste policy.
But it's not just about the practices – it's about the people that come together here.

The staff and guests alike were warm, welcoming, and passionate about living in harmony with the environment.

We shared delicious vegetarian meals cooked and prepared by Aune, and oh! the food is amazing and so fresh.

We participated in the one day retreat with activities including sound healing, yoga, sauna and a dip in the spring.
We also spent our free time exploring the stunning surroundings and I spent a lot of my time staring at the ever changing beautiful Mt Jukes mountain.

If you're looking for a place to unplug, recharge, and reconnect with nature and yourself, I highly recommend this eco retreat. It's a true sanctuary that will leave you feeling inspired and refreshed.

Mt Jukes Eco Resort was wonderful 🤗🤩 I have only good things to say!! The cottage smells beautiful of the carved wood. The outdoor bath with view of the mountain is very relaxing. Our hosts very friendly and gifting fresh herbs. Everything you need in the kitchen to cook a 5-star meal. The air is fresh, the water is clean. Disconnect from busy life and remember what is important at Mt Jukes 🙏 ❤ 🌱

It was an amazing experience on a full day retreat - sauna, yoga/meditation, sound healing and Ayurveda lunch! The Ayurveda meals was delicious!
Aune is such a great cook! I would definitely recommend anyone to go at least for a session and see for themselves. It is only around 40 mins drive from Mackay.

This was not my first time at Mount Jukes Eco Retreat, nor my last. The experience just keeps getting better every time I go. I can see the changes and improvements that have occurred to the property and the retreat program. I imagine that Dave and Aune must go to great efforts so that everything runs so efficiently, without sacrificing quality time with their guests and an authentic connection to them and the place itself.

I went for the Easter Saturday 1 Day retreat and it was a wonderful opportunity to slow my pace down and indulge in some self care. I enjoy Daves Yoga so much as I find that it challenges me and leaves me feeling filled with energy.

I was nervous that I wouldn't enjoy the sauna because I don't often like heat/humidity/seating but this was different to slaving away in the garden, pulling weeds under the heat of the sun. It may seem a strange this to say but it was a very "relaxed sweat". Plunging into the natural spring after the sauna was invigorating and refreshing. I felt lucky to float around in the pristine spring water whilst Ulysses butterflies fluttered around.

Dave encourages guests to walk the grounds and explore the space - the unofficial tour guides are the resident chickens but be careful they don't lead you astray and don't take them up on any lunch offers as Aune will have a delicious, colourful, aromatic and satisfying Ayurvedic lunch waiting for you at the Chai House.

The afternoon was topped off with a relaxing sound healing. One of my favourite things to do when I visit Mount Jukes Eco Retreat is to bath in the vibration and sounds of the bowls and Daves magical chanting.

Aune served afternoon tea and again delighted us with her culinary talents whilst her and Dave opened up their space for us to enjoy time to prepare to re-enter "the real world".

I look forward to coming back and encourage everyone who is thinking about attending a retreat, to go ahead and book. You will be glad you did.

This break away to reconnect was just what I needed!
Friendly and welcoming hosts, beautiful accomodation that takes in the awesome natural surroundings, delicious and deeply nourishing meals.
Dave gently guided us through a form of traditional yoga practice that is very rare today, and a sound healing session gave me some profound insights.
Walking through the many different fruit trees, I discovered some fruits that I had not seen or tasted before.
The sauna session followed by a refreshing swim in the creek was a winner too.

We had a wonderful, peaceful stay. The accommodation was very comfortable, well presented and clean. David and Aune are great hosts and we loved the home-grown fresh herbs and fruit they left out for us. Would definitely recommend staying here!

My husband and I booked the retreat house at Mt Jukes Eco Retreat, for our 3rd wedding anniversary. It was the perfect opportunity to switch off from the world and reconnect with each other. Waking up to the sounds of nature, and the smell of fresh coffee from the supplied barista coffee machine, followed by a swim in the property’s spring was the perfect start to each day. Mt Blackwood is a walk away, and cape hillsborough, and seaforth beach only a short drive away. The organic and natural store is also just around the corner to grab supplies to make a home cooked meal in the gorgeous kitchen. The outdoor bath looking out towards Mt Jukes was also such a highlight! Thank you Dave for such a great experience at this beautifully location, we will definitely be back! 🤍

That was beautiful, thank you so much for your fabulous hospitality and sharing such a gorgeous space. Hard to pick a favourite between the bath on the verandah, the view, super comfy bed and snuggly pillows ... the coffee machine was a hit as was the fire pit. Thank you for the Sound Healing session on the viewing platform, such a great experience for us all.
I highly recommend this beautiful location to anyone wanting to rest and rejuvenate.

What an amazing, peaceful and relaxing place. My wife and I could not recommend more highly. Dave and his hard working team are highly knowledgeable, warm and welcoming, Nothing seems to be a problem or a silly question. The food and facilities are world-class. An amazing setting for yoga, sound healing and sauna. A calming creek runs through the property which creates a strong feeling of tranquillity. Looking at the powerful Mount Dukes, we had a real calming and healing experience. We will be back.
