Pint On Punt Hostel

The staff here are amazing and so helpful. I was in a 4 bed female dorm and the one other girl staying there made me feel v uncomfortable and staff were so understanding and helped me to move rooms. Thank you!

The pub downstairs is great, a really nice atmosphere and good food. The free breakfast is also really nice.

The rooms have plenty of space for luggage and moving around. They're much cleaner than other hostels I've stayed in too. The bathroom is clean and there's plenty of showers too so no queuing to wait for a free one. The hostel is quite quiet generally too which is nice.

The location is good, St Kilda is lovely.

I accidentally booked the wrong period and the wrong hostel! Eggy was so nice and canceled it for me free of charge (even though I wasn't authorized)! he really helped me with that! thank you very much eggy!! When I'm in the area at some point, your hostel is the only option! kind regards!!

The place itself is not that good. But the receptionist (Nicole) a 10. Excellent person and gave me very good advice about the city.

Very nice hotel , friendly staff! I stayed in a ladies room for 4 people with private bathroom, it was perfect.
I booked here just for the panoramic view of the city ! Go up to the top floor and enjoy this view 🥰 it's beautiful just recommend everyone to visit and admire !

We had a great stay at pints! The rooms were of a good standard considering the price. The discounts available to use downstairs in the pub below was a great addition. The staff were all very accommodating especially Thomas on the front desk who was a legend throughout!!

Overall pretty good choice for a hostel. St Kilda is a nice backpackers area too. The hostel is basic but for a good price with friendly people and lovely staff!

Place was as expected for a Hostel. Had a great stay and found everything clean and tidy. The staff were amazing and couldn't fault the service. Saquana (or Sequana or something) was really friendly and accommodating. Even helped out with a problem that I had. Would/Will definitely stay again when the need arises. The pub downstairs is amazing and makes the whole stay that much better.

Best hostel in Melbourne. Good rates, nice pub with great food and drink downstairs and a community feeling. The best thing about Pint on Punt is the staff. They are friendly and make you feel welcome. If you have any issues they sort them out quickly. I stayed here for more than 4 months and if I go back to Melbourne I'll definitely stay here again.

Great hostel we stayed for over 2 weeks in a private double room which had a TV. The room got cleaned regularly, the bathroom was clean and had hot showers. Good complimentary breakfast. WiFi and good sized kitchen and lounge. Good pub food offers for backpackers. One of the nicest hostels we stayed in in Australia. Great location.

Just what we were looking for cheap and cheerful. The staff were always really helpful with any request, especially every time I forgot my keys (which was often). We stayed here for about 4 months, it had everything we needed and close to public transport, chapel street and st kilda. Would definitely recommend to a friend! Thanks for everything!

I love this hostel! I’ve made friends for life, it’s an amazing place. It’s easy to get to know new people, the bar downstairs has good prices and lots of different beers, the staff is super helpful and kind (shout-out to Kat in reception, you can’t find a more amazing person than her). The staff cleans the bathrooms and rooms daily, the kitchen is nice and common room cozy. I can’t imagine why someone wouldn’t like this hostel, best one so far in Australia tbh. And plus, the wifi is good and free! if I could I’d give this place 100/10 ✨✨✨✨✨

FRIENDLY, CLEAN and PERFECT LOCATION ! Everyone who works there, either in the pub below or in the hostel, are super friendly and will help you out with whatever you need! SUPER CLEAN, Cleaners every day whilst I was staying there literally cleaning up after everyone! The best location in Melbourne, close to the beach yet a 5 min tram to the city. Would stay again next time i'm in Melbourne!

I stayed at pint on punt for about three months and had the best time. The receptionist (Kiera) was always very friendly and extremely helpful. The bar staff are awesome too and you get discounted drinks and tasty food (try the chicken burger) while staying there. The bar always has something going and live music but when I wanted a chill night I heard no noise from the bar. I met some friends for life at this hostel and would definitely stay here again!! Pint on punt I love you! And I recommend to all.

Great place to stay. Clean and tidy. Friendly staff and a great pub below too. Close to St Kilda and Chapel st, with a plethora of public transport options to get you around Melbourne. If you want a fun, safe and homely place to stay while in Melbourne the Pint in Punt should be your first stop.

Loved staying here! Didn't ever want to leave!!, yeah its basic, but we don't go backpacking to stay at 5* accommodation!!! Its all about meeting new people and getting amongst it and this is the place to do that!! Super social place, great pub downstairs, central location, all very clean and the staff are amazing! Clean rooms, clean bathrooms, clean kitchen. What more could you want?? And its cheap!

I stayed at the pint on Punt for a couple weeks to get my bearings in Melbourne. I was initially drawn to the place by it's affordable pricing but was super excited by the atmosphere and the welcomeness of the other people. They have an adjoining pub downstairs and it was chocked full of deals for backpackers--food and drink. Also, there was even a night with free wine and cheese for backpackers. As for the rooms, the one I had was dark. That being said, I asked for that, and Laura at reception hooked me up! Free breakfast was also nice and a good way to jumpstart my day. Because of all of this, I have just booked another 2 weeks. Looking forward to meeting lovely new people.

Great Hostel. When the whole Pandemic situation made me loose my job, the Staff was understanding and compreensive with me, when i had nowhere to go.

It does feel like home, the staff knows you, and its aways avaiable.

Great place to stay if your looking to make friends and meet fellow travellers. Cat at the reception was helpfull with my question always had a smile on. Breakfast was good. The beach is very close and the city is a 10minute ride away. Great place to stay.

Really great hostel with super friendly staff! Was really impressed with their bartender who was really helpful and reminded us a lot of Jesus from the walking dead! Such a cool guy! Super great environment to meet other backpackers and trust me you might find the right help you need!!

Beautiful people. Made a home here. Pub is great downstairs. Have a single bed in a room with a window, fridge and sink, what luxury! Love the staff and the area is perfect for beach and transport.
