Dymocks Camberwell

Went into Dymocks at Camberwell Place on Sunday while Christmas gift shopping. It's an impressive book store with a truly fantastic range of books, especially kids books and games as well as lots of cards and wraps. A very friendly and knowledgeable staff, oh yes, they really know their stuff. And thank you for the free gift wrapping.

For one of the smaller Dymocks stores this place is actually really good. There is still a wide range of genres to browse and the current affairs section is very well stocked, which is often one of the sections lacking books in smaller stores. I'll certainly be back to browse when I'm around Camberwell and would recommend any other book lovers do the same.

The shop is well presented and more intricate, nestled near the precinct of the Rivoli Cinema and Music Junction. They ordered in a book and called me, as promised, when it arrived. When I picked it up the guy who served me was humorous and I walked out of this shop with a broad beam on my countenance! 😄 Thank you for your excellent service. 💯

Had a great customer service experience here. I needed a book for a work Kris Kringle present at the last minute. Murphy's Law, the book was not in stock! However, the lovely people behind the desk went above and beyond to take my details, and were going to give me a call when either published version of the book was in stock. I needed it ASAP so ended up finding it elsewhere but these lovely people still called and told me the books had arrived, in the busiest time of year.

Wish I got their names, but it was a great experience!

Dymocks Camberwell are an exceptional family owned and locally run bookstore. They have a wonderful selection in store and will order any book in for you. They offer delivery and click and collect, they have been brilliant throughout the pandemic closures and I highly recommend them.

I have purchased books from Dymocks Camberwell for the last ten years or more, and I have always found the staff to be both very knowledgeable and helpful. They are also my go-to for when I need to buy a birthday or christmas card, as they have an excellent selection of art-themed cards.

Called for a book for a 12 year old boy's birthday, the amazing Henk made a recommendation, picked the books off the shelf and had them ready for pick up by the time I arrived 15mins later! Thank you so much Dymocks Camberwell! It is great to have you back!

Excellent bookshop in Camberwell, with a huge range of titles. Have been shopping with them for years! Great service during lockdown, and nice to see their new store up and running.

This feels like a neighbourhood store with the range of a large store combined. Welcoming and warm and of course I know if I can’t find a book, online or just order it. The service and curation of this store makes it worth a visit.

Having had a very interesting book referred to me by a "stranger" when shopping, I searched for the book online and then rang Dymocks Chadstone who told me that the book I wanted was at Camberwell and gave me fabulous directions as its tricky to find. Hank answered the phone and Yes, Hooray, they had only one copy. I said I would come immediately to pick it up. I was rapt! I was rapt as well to get a park outside the building and up the lift outside the building and didnt know that where I went was a like a little Chadstone. Upstairs and found Dymocks and bought the book and the staff were excellent, friendly and showed me more books written by the same author, should I want to read more by him.

A most fascinating and interesting and very easy read which when reading you keep on saying to yourself or out aloud ...."Ahhhh haaa! I get it!"

Fantastic service! I ordered over the phone Monday midday and it was delivered on the same day in the afternoon!!

Henk Kelly-Kobes is a wonderful ambassador for the Camberwell Traders and an amazing book store owner. I was extremely fortunate to be able to launch my first book at the Dymocks Camberwell store on 23 February 2016 and have maintained a great business relationship with Henk since 2011.
