Kuttabul Hotel

We’re travelling through Australia in our cars and heard you could camp for free out the back of this pub, provided you buy a meal.

We arrived too late and the kitchen was closed but they allowed us to stay regardless. The field was clean, flat and grassy with loads of room for plenty although on the first night we might have been the only ones there.

The staff were so friendly too! They let us hang out with Winston, the resident parrot. 🦜 We even stayed a second night and bought food and drinks.

I really would recommend this place if you’re passing through and need a place to kip, or even just a feed.

We were able to camp here out back in our roof tent in exchange for a buying a meal at the pub. The owner, Sarah, is so kind and even leaves the bathrooms open for campers at night. Plus the meal portions are huge. Definitely an A1 stop along the highway, not too noisy either.

Great spot to camp in the back. They leave the clean bathrooms unlocked overnight as well for campers to use. Be sure to head in to buy a meal and a couple drinks from the friendly couple!

I camped here, for free, on the 21st of May. I had a meal which was cheap enough and not bad tucker. The place is not the Hilton but it had real character and the staff were friendly.

Had the best time at Kuttabul! We stayed at the campground behind the pub for free: very tranquil and beautiful mountain view.

We had some drinks at the pub and were so welcomed by Frankie and the locals. Felt at home immediately and enjoyed the hospitality and chats very much.

Free campground at the back of the hotel and couldn't of found a better place to pull over for the night! 24 hour toilets and loads of space but the highlight is the hotel/bar and locals. Incredibly welcoming and friendly atmosphere where the locals are happy to share a drink with you. Drinks very well priced, as nice as anywhere and the food is supposedly fantastic (unfortunately we landed late). Would recommend anyone passing by to call in for a meal/drink or spend the night!!

Totally enjoyed camping behind this little gem of a pub. Pub staff are friendly and welcoming, had a nice meal and some nice cold bevvies. Plenty of entertainment for all ages to enjoy.

Great place to park the caravan in the back yard and head in for icy cold drinks and a delicious meals at the end of a long day on the road. Will definitely be back when travelling through again. Thanks to all the gang at the Kuttabul for a great experience! 🍻

Absolutely great experience! Came here on a Friday night, needed a place to stay the night. The owner was very welcoming and directed us to the little camping ground behind the pub. We had a drink with the locals, live music and everyone was super friendly and up for a chat. Great roadpub with awesome 'Aussie' experience!
Would absolutely recommend!

You just have to stop and camp overnight here. Plenty of room out back, awesome views and toilets accessible after hours. The best bit is in the pub, food was great, staff were amazing, ( remembered your drinks after first round), the locals and staff made you feel like this was your local. Frankie met us on way in to tell us where to park and that they had live music that night. Music was fantastic. Good old fashioned hospitality and fun.

Went in for a drink with my missus to catch up with some of her friends, ended up staying over and having great nights Craic! The owner was super welcoming and very friendly. Free pool table , great music and the food was lovely. And free camping ! Thanks Frank your a legend see you next time :)

Highly recommend to come, enjoy drinks and support a local business. You can sleep for free in the camp area. The owner and staff are great and very nice!

Easy going atmosphere in the pub. Exceptional food (Steak and a Parmy - just the way we like them) and friendly, welcoming service from the bar/kitchen staff.
Camping area is nice and level, toilets clean and tidy!
Will absolutely be back when up this way again!

We stayed for one night with a van on the back of this road house at its free campsite. Visitors are only asked to consume a few drinks or take a meal in exchange. The lawn and the area was well-kept and clean. The country pub is a really authentic experience. The staff was super kind and the meals we took were delicious!!

Heard that we can stay here overnight with our campervan. We drove in and the owener directly came out and offered a space for free. We ate in the Pub and had a few beers and a chat with the very nice locals (Happy Birthday Ken 😉). 10/10 would recommend.

What a great place! Good old hospitality and service, the atmosphere led to meeting new people for a beer and a chat, the beers were cold and flowing without the headache of having to ask, the food was good and prompt! What can I say, if your looking for a stop over consider here as a great option! (Stayed in a room, cheap and fine)
