Fairfield Park Boathouse & Tea Gardens

The atmosphere, ambiance and the service was all good. The place was very relaxing and I the enjoyed boat paddling a lot. Place was quiet and the view is gorgeous.

It would have been perfect if the food were also good. The service was fast but unfortunately, the food itself were not that good and it's not worth the price. or maybe we're just unlucky that day, the beef patty were so dry, as well as the chicken in their burger. i also ordered, chicken wings and it's also very dry that I can't even finished eating it. (I mean NO HARM, just saying these for you to improve ur food)

The starter and drinks were good though, specially the sauce for the starter.

You need to take a little bit of a walk to the boathouse from the parking space. It has a beautiful view, and you can experience sailing around because they have boat hire, complete with all the necessary equipment.

Enjoy a cup of tea or lunch with small or large groups, and they have plenty of tables with different spots of view.
Food is tasty.

Only had coffee here but definitely coming back for the scones, looked amazing. Nice play to go for a small hike / stroll and back for a coffee or cold one. Plenty of people hiring boats, all looked like they had a blast. Family friendly atmosphere. Parking might be hard but nice short walk to the area if parking elsewhere.

I've been in Melbourne for many years and only just discovered this local treat. The atmosphere and views are lovely, serene and contemplative. The coffee was good especially on the veranda with river views. Ideal and fun for families and tourists wanting to experience Melbourne's nature along with a bite or a drink, not far from the city.

This place is gorgeous and so peaceful. It’s a little haven with delicious food. The scones are a must!

Nice park and good weather surrounding for boating 🛶 , you can see many wild ducks 🦆. but it’s pretty busy on weekend only one person service, need to wait and help get on or get off the boat, just prefer go in the morning instead afternoon busy time

Such a nice cafe of with touch of heritage all around the place, next to Yarra River in the heart of Melbourne. Our vanilla slice was great with decent coffee. You can spend hours just sipping coffee and having chat with your loved ones!

Wonderful place after a walk around the boathouse, just relax and have a good meal or just a coffee.

As a visitor to Melbourne this place was a great find. A beautiful and quirky old building providing welcome refreshments as we were out visiting the viewpoint and enjoying a (hot) walk. When we visited the Boathouse was busy with community groups and those taking a break from activities on the river. A lovely place to watch the world go by.

Lovely setting. Food good. The carpark is not huge, so easily filled. The walk down to the boathouse is ok, but it is steep on the way back up!!!!! You are able to eat at the tea house/restaurant or take your own picnic as there are different areas for you to choose. It is great to take a picnic and be able to buy drinks and food as well if needed.

Father's day was our 1st visit, we had amazing weather. 2nd visit just this week end gone for stepsons birthday.

A regular here, fantastic food - Always love the beautiful outdoor seats facing the river boat views! Long queue for food and drinks but friendly service. Dog friendly and a great place especially on sunny warmer days.

Lovely heritage with plenty seats indoor and outdoor as well. Enjoy exploring the throwback decorations and indulging myself in the vibe.
Self-service for the food and drink. Various kinds of choices but I love scone the best.
Definitely come back often whenever there’s sunny weekend.

I can't speak highly enough of Fairfield Boathouse. Apart from being full of nostalgic charm with its historical building right on a magnificent Yarra river bend, its scones, jam & cream are to die for! The atmosphere is fabulous and there's plenty of walks to wander along including the pipe walking bridge which crosses the river. I've only tasted the scones but the vanilla slices look out of this world. The rest of the food available - including delicious meals, looks great also.
All in all, one of my favourite Melbourne hangouts!

What a lovely rustic place so near the city center! Less than 7 km from Melbourne CBD and you are transported into this relaxing realm of great food, flowing river with kayaking/canoeing option, and a nearby park with the view of the city skyline!
