The Village Bakehouse @ Port Fairy

So so good! Went with a mix of Aussie and foreign friends, everyone agreed it was the best beef pie, scallop pie and lammington ever!!!! Coffee is a little expensive but this cafe is tons better than the one opposite.

Extravagant!!! Scallop pie - incredible. Didn't think it's possible but it is their specialty. Tasted great - pic here!!! A must try when you go to Port Fairy. You can get all the other favourite pies, cakes and Illawara Bread - you know the "genuine bread" that you can taste. The wharf area is also great as you can buy seafood off the boat - not many places this happens these days, and v good prices.

Took them down to the sea lookout and ate the best scallop pie I have ever eaten while watching the waves come in. So yummy.
So glad I stopped at the village bakery.
Th pie is a treat. Not something you get the opportunity to have regularly so buy and eat it all you will love it by the end and want another.

We ordered ham and cheese croissant, vanilla slice and a scone. The toasted ham and cheese was tasty and fresh. Coffee is smooth. The scone was Really nice! I’m glad I have tried their scone. I’ll recommend people to try their scone.

We were told to stop for lunch here in Timboon! We were not disappointed. The wife reckons it was the best scallop pie she has ever had.

We stopped off on our way past, and im glad we did. The pies were amazing, the fresh donuts were absolutely beautiful and the service was grand.

I had my preferred morning coffee-and-coffee-scroll and both were excellent. It made a lovely change from some of the second-rate coffees that I've been served lately. They also have a wide selection of special items that all looked delicious but I was full with the over-sized (and delicious) coffee scroll.

Great little bakery. Has a nice frittata for those after a gluten free and low carb option.

Their Scallop pies are to die for,!!! Hot or cold simply magnificent!!

The lamington is to die for. Discovered the lamingtons on Wednesday and had to return on Thursday to repeats the experience. Best lamingtons - we only had the plain as that’s how we like them.

Dropped in today and the sevrice and food was next level. Highly recommend!!!

The best pie I have ever had! It was veggie gluten free and it was absolutely delicious. The pastry tasted just like regular pastry, the creamy sauce was soooo good, and I loved that bit of melted cheese on top. The staff were lovely too.

Delicious! Sausage rolls spot on, scallop pie was great, kids loved the pizza and ham & cheese croissant. Staff were friendly and efficient. Will definitely stop here again.

I haven't had a pie as good as the one I bought from this bakery in years - delicious gravy meat fill just the way pies used to be. My wife had their famous scallop pie which she raved over. Fresh iced chocolate doughnut and a cappuccino to follow. Friendly staff to boot - what more would you want from a bakery?
