The Oxford Hotel

This is a great place for dinner! The food was delicious, as Illuminate was on we hope that’s the reason that the service wasn’t very quick but we were still so impressed with every meal that came out & the staff were absolutely lovely.

One of the top steaks I have had in Adelaide. The scotch fillet was so tasty with the parisian garlic butter and veggies. Nice smoke on the plate, cooked perfectly as ordered, med-rare. Reverse sear maybe?

The barramundi was so good. Garlic potatoes, creamy celeriac, generous proportion. Artic Monkeys playing in the dining area with a great eccletic style of furnishing

Had my 50th birthday here. We had a FANTASTIC time!! Sam was so easy to talk to about the arrangements, very relaxed and helpful. The charcuterie boards were NEXT LEVEL!!! The wine selections were superb, and the Gins were amazing! I highly recommend the Oxford for a function. We will return!!!

Great service from Leah. Absolutely loved the steak burger, everything about it was on point. Soft bun, tender steak, good guacamole, and the fries with the chilli salt were excellent. Good atmosphere, would definitely go back any time.

Had a nice snack before a dance. The beer range is impressive. Lots of local support.

Delicious food, good service and good music. The art on the walls and bright airy atmosphere is perfect for a wine or two, or a sizzling hot bibimbap. Great pub that brings life to North Adelaide, especially on a Saturday night!

Absolutely wicked staff and service! Great ambiance and the venue layout is gorgeous. Don’t get me started on the music, mhmmm oh oh ah ah baby! Complements to the DJ for getting my hips swinging!

Attended school reunion from 1969. Had a great meal and better catch up with mates from 50 years ago. We used to go to the Oxford and drink with the local pensioners in the early 70's. Lot of great memories.

Function room is amazing. Massive thanks to Sam the manager and all the staff that made my 21st possible, there dedication and willingness to go above and beyond was amazing. Would highly recommended to anyone who is looking for a nice venue.

Fantastic gluten free and vegan options for my family with various food allergies and intolerances.

Wait staff were very attentive, knew the menu well, and had no problem double checking things for us. No problem was too small or too hard.

Generous serves of food and very tasty.

If you’re wanting to mix it up a notch on a Saturday night… would recommend the Boogie Wonderland 70s/80s Nights with DJ Jaki and the Retro 50s-80s Nights with DJ Craig!!

Overall… The scenery and atmosphere of The Oxford Hotel is amazing!!

We came to stay in North Adelaide for what we thought was going to be 8 weeks but ended up being 8 months. We were lucky enough to try lots of restaurants and all the pubs and the Oxford fast became our favourite . We soon got to know the staff who are all fabulous. The Oxford is the only hotel in the Tynte street that is family owned and they have the 2 best managers Sam and Charlie who could not be more welcoming and soon made us feel like part of the family. The food is great and Saturday nights with DJ Jaki J are so much fun!!
We love it and although we no longer live in the area we will be back. Thank you Sam and Charlie for making us feel so welcome! We would highly recommend the food and especially the hospitality! Jodie and Chris
