Kimberley Gardens Hotel

Its a very nice hotel that was clean and comfortable. The surrounding area had beautiful trees, making it a great place to relax. The hotel also had a good pool and spa.

(I would recommend the hotel to change all the light bulbs, even the ones that are not easily reachable, such as those on top of the moldings and by the stairs..)

Amble on-site parking available, in a great location. Clean and well presented comfortable rooms, housekeeping team were attentive and efficient. The front of house staff were professional, friendly and happy to assist. All the staff including the house keeping team were a pleasure to deal with. I was very happy with our stay. Highly recommend.

Very clean and quiet. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. There was a wedding party staying so parking was tight. I arrived late afternoon But got a park. A little hard to find but i don't know the area. There are flags outside which helped. Pool looked clean and nice but we didn't get a chance to use it.
I do have suggestions for the owner but by no means are a criticism. 1. Supply more towels. There was one towel each for the in room spa, shower and pool. ( ( but you can get towels from reception, however they close really early )
2. The beds and pillows are average ( uncomfortable, old firm). They need updating. However they were clean.
3. Upgrade to a smart TV
4. Maybe supply mugs as well as cups.

Clean. Easy access. Great high pressure shower. Awesome accessibility to pool and spa for those with mobility issues.

Great location, lovely staff, extremely quiet rooms. The only criticism I have is that its starting to look and feel a little dated. Still not enough to warrant a rating reduction. Will be back

Had a lovely time in the Kimberley Gardens. Lots of character and easy to get to some very cool parts of Melbourne. Close to some great restaurants and cafes. The staff were very friendly and made our visit extremely comfortable.

Recently attended a wedding in balaclava & wanted to stay somewhere in the area, we decided to choose this hotel and we were not disappointed. As there many hotels / apartments in the area we decided on this place from reading the customer reviews.
From the moment arriving at Kimberley Gardens we were pleasantly surprised with the abundance of parking on the property. The hotel is a little old but well maintained in a beautiful garden setting. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional and check in was simple and easy. Our room was large, comfortable and most importantly extremely clean. Bathroom was large and well stocked with beauty products. Our breakfast was included in the price and was fitting for the day after a long evening of drinking& dancing. Late check out always a bonus!
Highly recommend and a place we will stay again...!

Stayed here for 3 nights,, was hard to find at first, as its back off the street,, but that makes it very private and away from the road,,, plenty of off street parking which i wanted,,, rooms were great,, it maybe an older hotel,, but was neat and clean,,, doesnt show it age,,, a bit over 1km walk to Balaclava shops and resturants, including 2 supermarkets,,, no complaints,, thnx

Can't fault this hotel. We arrived and were greeted with a polite and friendly smile. Staff we dealt with were all helpful and polite. It's set back of the main road so it's quiet, the rooms are clean and tidy and it looks well maintained. Excellent value for money too and would highly recommend.

Nice comfortable hotel with a good range of different room types. On-site parking and convenient for Bayside and getting into the city. Great value for money and makes a nice change from bland corporate hotels.

A good location.
About 30 minute walk to Acland Street for the amazing dining options there. Luna Park & The Palais Theatre also in the Acland Street area.
Free parking is on a first in best served basis and is full overnight so if you don't like your car on the street plan to get your car parked safely mid-late afternoon.
Indoor heated pool and spa 🙂.

Lovely quite hotel, staff are amazing. I arrived early and they did their upmost to cater for me, they even brought my luggage up to my room. I cannot fault the hotel itself, beds are comfortable, good showers, decent size TV. However a was charged for two drinks I didn't take from the hotel fridge and when i questioned management they was unaware of a charge being on my account. They said they would look into it, added annoyance to the end of my stay but other than that it was 10 out of 10.

We stayed in the hotel for a week, very comfortably. Very clean, warm, a bit old-fashioned in a charming way. But lovely little garden patios, swimming pool and a gym, and friendly helpful staff - what else do you need? Well, maybe improve on the breakfast bar a bit? But there are tonnes of great cafes around, so we didn't miss out on much. Ah, and loads of parking. Too good!

Very friendly staff. Rooms are older, but very clean and comfortable. Great facilities including a heated pool, spa and gymnasium.

We have stayed here many times over many years. The service is always attentive, responsive and friendly. A very comfortable and convenient base for us in Melbourne.

The front desk officer was really nice and accomodating. She checked us in immediately without a fuss. The room is nice and clean. I just wished we stayed longer to enjoy the pool and spa.

Service excellence - we just completed a 1 week stay with our party of 10 and were delighted with the service and care. The location is so unique close to the jewish community, walking distance to Carlisle street coffee shops, beach, the eclectic nightlife and the city - we felt like locals and not tourists. I would highly recommend the hotel for anyone looking for a great vacation base.
