Berg Herring Wines

There are two types of people in this world. Those who love Berg Herring wines, and those who haven’t tried them.
The wines are amazing, with each bottle being its own hidden gem.
I genuinely wanted to take 3 of each home, and although they are reasonably priced all things considered, not all of us can be a Murdoch/Packer.
The grass area and giant wine barrel/sitting booths (it will make more sense when you get there) are great.
You know what, you don’t need to hear any more from me, if you only go to one winery - make sure this is it.

We enjoyed a delightful tasting of these yummy wines. Genevieve, our host, was lovely, helpful and knowledgeable. The wines were reasonably priced and we bought a bottle to take away. The cellar door building, an old church, was a cool respite from the heat outside and provided a perfect background for our tasting. Recommended.

Just go there. Seriously. Love my wines, as do my friends, and every single wine we tasted was remarkable (I joked that the only dodgy thing about the place was the name). The wine guide of the day, Lucas, took us for a delicious "tour" of their products and we had a fun time doing it. Then, when you've chosen one for a glass (a tough task), head outside in to their lovely garden with views of sea and vines, enjoy the fresh air and relaxed atmosphere. End of the day, it was the easiest mixed dozen I've ever bought, and I'm sure it won't last long. Delicious!! Thank you.

Phenomenal staff member on the cellar door today. Heatwave conditions, by herself, managed busy indoor and sprawling outdoor customers with grace and seeming ease. You’ve got a star there. Nice wines too!

Friendly staff, amazing space for a rainy or sunny day, perfect for families with fenced grassy area to play, great music, love the BYO picnic snacks and enjoy their beautiful space and wine/ beer and boutique soft drinks! Ticks all the boxes! Would come back as a date, family or a group of friends!

Beautiful little old church with superb wines. For a small place the garden was immaculate. Owned by a young couple Chloe and Sam. Do yourself a favour drop in for a tasting. Side note - they don't do platters

Beautiful, just beautiful. Bring a picnic blanket and a charcuterie platter. Whack it in the esky. Grab the wines here, of your choice, and enjoy the serenity 👍🏻

First time here, really lovely restored and converted chapel, great service and great wines.
The wine barrels to sit in outside are an excellent re-use of old equipment. DJ there on a Sunday afternoon played some excellent tunes. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back again

Beautiful wines, location and staff! Fit us in for a very last minute group wine tasting after our plans at another winery fell through....such a blessing in disguise! The group had an amazing time and were made to feel so welcome. Thank you, we'll all be back!

Terrific wines, phenomenal view and an idyllicly landscaped grassy area to lounge and enjoy both. Beautiful renovation of the old church and Chloe and Sam were lovely. Everyone should stop in here for an hour or an afternoon.

They had great setting and nice long grass. They don’t do food so we went to a store to get some supplies and took it back for a picnic on their rugs and arm chairs. Staff were lovely and wine was great, especially the rosé. Highly recommend.

An amazing place to grab a glass of wine and take in the view. Sam and Chloe have created a fantastic cellar door experience. The wine was also of high quality, with a range of straight varieties and interesting blends (Saperavi Barbera).
