I have been coming to CrossFit AERE for over 6months now (Previously from a Functional Fit gym for 3 years) and from the workout structures, technique knowledge of Couch Darren and the vibrant community feel, I have managed to obtain new strength and +10kg PBs for all my lifts already. I have also enjoyed the opportunity to compete in my first competition and the Opens.

If you want to get stronger and make friends at the same time, this is place to do it!

I've never been a person who really liked exercising. I tried standard gym and some CrossFit places but I had never found something that really made me feel good.
For the first time I really enjoyed training somewhere, I've been going to CrossFit AERE for 6 weeks and I can already say that I'm enjoying training!
The coach is super attentive and hardworking with the athletes, he really FOCUSES on seeing you progress and learn all the technique with care and quality, something that is not so easy to find anywhere.
I highly recommend it, it's worth doing the trial and feeling the cool energy of the people helping each other.

After coming from your generic, commercial gyms- this CrossFit Box is incredible! The programming and focus on strength training is second to none! I’ve done powerlifting and external programs in the past- but nothing compares to What’s on offer here and that you’ll be encouraged beyond what you thought your body was capable of doing. Coach Darren is wonderful and holds his members accountable (I really need this) and this goes beyond what any PT or business would otherwise offer! 10 out of 10, would recommend 💪🏽💯

I have been doing CrossFit for about five years in Adelaide and recently changed to CrossFit Aere. The coaching has been phenomenal and the community super supportive. My training was stuck in a plateau but since switching to training at Aere I have seen an increase in both my cardio fitness and strength. The programming is great and Darren’s coaching and dedication to his athletes is second to none. Highly recommend training at Aere if you want to push your fitness to higher levels.

I've been attending Crossfit AERE for several months now, and I can honestly say, I think it's one of the best, if not THE best, Crossfit gym in Australia. Crossfit is a high-intensity fitness program that combines elements of weightlifting, gymnastics, and metabolic conditioning. It's designed to improve overall physical fitness and prepare athletes for any physical challenge. Crossfit is important because it promotes functional fitness, which means it helps people become better at everyday activities, and who doesn't want to be the best version of their self?!

The coach, Darren, is tough but fair, and he knows how to challenge you in the best possible way. He'll push you to your limits, but he'll also help you get stronger emotionally and physically. I've been training Crossfit for over 6 years and I've been trying to find a gym with a coach who motivates you and helps you develop. Coach Darren is one of the best coaches I've ever had and in fact the Crossfit Aere environment is one of the best places you will find to train in SA.

This is the place to get stronger not only physically but also mentally while you become a better version of yourself. I started a year ago and since then, Darren has shown an impressive set of coaching skills based on solid knowledge, experience and athletes' needs.
The community is an added value hard to find somewhere else, every member contributes in different ways to each other's journey making the process more valuable and meaningful.

Crossfit has changed my lifestyle a lot, I've lost 13 kg so far. I learned from CrossFit to prioritize my life and my habits, I learned not to judge people but to admire each person's limits and their efforts to reach their limits. I’ve been training at CrossFit AERE for a few months now and have never been stronger! I’ve had years of issues with my back and hips and starting CrossFit and getting strong in all the right places has caused that pain to disappear. It’s such a supportive, encouraging and fun environment, and it feels like a family! Coach Darren is so knowledgeable and knows how to push us all the way we need it in order to improve. Joining CrossFit AERE has been one of the best decisions I have made. I started 6 months ago as a complete newbie. I had never lifted weights before and was very out of shape. I've really enjoyed the challenges and seeing what I'm capable of doing. Darren has been so patient with teaching me everything and so knowledgeable in what he teaches.

Darren has created a strong and supportive family. I felt welcome as soon as I stepped into the gym. I love that it's so easy for parents to bring there kids if they need. I would 100% recommend if your thinking about joining :)

After training for a year at CrossFit Aere, I couldn’t speak more highly of the community, coaching and atmosphere I experience every day. I started here with no weightlifting experience and from day one, every single member has supported me to be the best version of myself whether that be from a physical or mental perspective. I’m amazed day in and day out at what my body is capable of when I have a whole community of people rooting for me to succeed.
Head coach Darren is a total wealth of knowledge when it comes to all things coaching whether that be technique, programming, mentality or preventing/adapting to injuries. He invests in every single one of his members no matter our different abilities or goals, and genuinely cares about our progress and commitment. Darren always celebrates our wins with us whether they be big or small and also takes nice pics of our bootys.
I feel so grateful to be apart of this community because coming here is the best part of every day. I get to train with my best friends and get strong whilst I do it,!

When I first started CrossFit, I had no clue what I was putting myself through. I knew I needed a change and haven't looked back since then. Coach Darren and coach Lorraine are both very knowledgeable and keep us accountable regarding whatever fitness goals we have in our mind. I discovered my passion for weightlifting through Darren, and I can't thank him enough for it. The community is very welcoming and honestly, you will create some great friends for life. Joining Crossfit AERE was one of the best decisions I have made in a very long time. I did not know what to expect, originally I was definitely nervous due to my lack of strength and fitness. However, upon joining, I was able to realize just how much strength I actually had but was hidden under terrible form.

Darren is an incredible coach who will push you to your limits and beyond, as well as provide constructive feedback due to his extensive knowledge of the field. He is extremely dedicated to each athlete and will bring out the best out of you.

Also have to give a big shout out to the rest of the athletes that further contribute to the experience at AERE. Everyone is so welcoming and supporting, definitely couldn't recommend this place more

I SHOULD HAVE JOINED SOONER!

I thought I was fit playing soccer for years… until I joined AERE and discovered that I had only been scratching the surface of my capabilities for years.

With Darren at the helm, Lorraine as another great lead coach and a tremendous community of veteran athletes and some emerging coaches, CrossFit AERE is the place to go to level up in all facets of your fitness journey. I have seen benefits from the coaching, programming and the influence of the amazingly supportive community that’s been grown at AERE.

My strength, fitness, range of motion, joint health, skills and mental health have all improved drastically across my 6 months since starting up.

Best decision I made was simply rocking up to give it a go… never looked back. ❤

I recently joined this CrossFit gym approximately 3 months ago. I wish I’d joined sooner. My first session I was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming and warm the members are. The coaches are knowledgeable, approachable but also have your own fitness journey at their forefront. They will help you achieve whatever you’re seeking to achieve on your fitness journey and also keep you accountable. Join up, you won’t regret it.

(I had a lot to say so it had to be split into 2 parts) Part 2:

I am now just over 3 months in. As it turns out this specific approach to strength and conditioning training is exactly what I needed. I’m starting to be able to Rx some of the workouts. My pain has become very manageable and minimally restrictive on my life. I’m sleeping better than I can ever remember sleeping. Through the input of other members I’m even eating better. As a bonus, I’d apparently started noticeably looking larger and more muscular before I even hit the 2 month mark. I’ve dropped to 89kg, yet gone up a shirt size. And importantly, I’ve found myself in a better place mentally, having gained a healthy physical outlet, more effective than any form of fight training I have tried in the past.

I’ll be honest. When I was in the Army and CrossFit was starting to become popular, I thought it was a fad and I had absolutely no interest in it. Now I wish I had started it years ago. Having said that, it’s the approach of this particular gym that has kept me going consistently and looking forward to the next session.

CrossFit AERE is a fantastic place to train! The coach is knowledgeable and passionate about your fitness and needs and is always so encouraging.
Darren has also been kind enough to watch over my children while I train and if it wasn't for this I wouldn't be able to exercise. He has been nothing but supportive to our families needs and is a great role model to my kids.
CrossFit AERE is a real family environment and what Darren has built within the gym and the culture you will find no where in Adelaide.
You must try it out for yourself!

After only three weeks of training at Crossfit AERE I am already seeing tremendous results, even after having completed 11 years of resistance training prior to joining. The only thing better than how welcoming and supportive all the members of Crossfit AERE are, is the knowledge, dedication and passion of its Head Coach, Darren.

I cannot recommend Crossfit AERE enough ❤

I have recently come to train at CrossFit Aere.

I have tried many other gyms and classes and eventually I would get bored and give up. That doesn’t happen at CrossFit Aere. Coach Darren and coach Lorraine inspire and push me.

Having recently become a mother I felt out of control of my body and weak. Over the last few months I have regained my strength and then some. Children (and fur babies) are welcome in the gym and Darren is especially sweet to them. The other members are also extremely helpful and patient with the little ones.

As Darren says: you’re not just joining a gym, you’re joining a community.
