The Wakefield Hotel

I had my 21st here in December 2023 and it was amazing. The food came out exactly when they said it would and it was all delicious. The staff were super friendly and made sure everything we asked for was attended to and we got everything we needed. They were really good for when I needed my backdrop dropped off and picked up and did everything they could to make sure my night was special. Kylie, the events manager was super helpful with setting up the dining area for the party and she made sure my night was one to remember

The best pub I've been in Australia! Thank you to the lovely manager and bar staff especially to Ray who's been so accommodating and kind to us. I appreciate the great food and affordable drinks. The best pub!

Had a farewell function (March 2024) for 40+ people using the Games Room as our base. Kylie was fantastic helping with the arrangements. The food platters were excellent and bar tab was well run by the friendly bar staff. Highly recommended, as the new management has got it right!

Tried the first time ever today and it really surprised me. Just a few minutes wait after ordered food and it came super fast! If any one have a tight lunch time but wants a delicious food, then this is a great place to go.

The BEST pub!!!
Had the most amazing meal and experience at the Wakefield yesterday. We had a table of 6 and everyone loved their entre and main meals. The vegetarian in our group was extremely impressed by her meal and the options she had available to her. The manager Kylie couldn't do enough for us and we were all blown away by the level of service received. We were lucky enough to meet Nestor the chef and pass on our praise. The lad serving at the bar and taking our orders (didn't get his name) was very friendly and loved to chat 😀 Thanks again guys, we will now make the Wakefield our regular!!

Hadn't been here in years. Had a fun night. Friendly staff bent over backwards to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. Excellent cheeseburger 🍔 and my friend raved about the Kirkpatrick snitty 🐄. But save room for the chocy mousse! 😋 😋

I am here to leave a review for the Wakefield hotel! I had not a single bad experience when I was there a couple of months ago to say my goodbyes to a loving family friend of mine who sadly passed.
The Atmosphere on the afternoon/night of his wake was one of the best experiences I have had at any hotel. I really appreciate the effort that all the staff put in to making it a very special and memorable time for Joshua's friends and especially his family!

What a great place. Went for lunch for my birthday knowing there was a refurbishment recently. The dining room was very busy but there wasn’t much of a wait for food. Customer service was friendly and the food was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection. Everything was delicious. Thank you Kylie and all your wonderful staff. Will definitely be back!!

We had our daughter’s 21st birthday party there on Saturday night. What a great night! The staff and specifically Kylie, the venue manager were extremely helpful to arrange the set up of the restaurant how we wanted it. The food was delicious and came out on time. We had subsidised drinks and Kylie kept us well informed during the night on the level of spend. We highly recommend this venue for special birthday parties and corporate events.

My son's wake was held at the Wakefield and the staff and management bent over backwards for us, respectful and made sure everything was perfect. The food was amazing I highly recommend them.we will definitely be back. Thank you Kylie and team

We held our wake for our Joshua at the Wakefield.
From booking the venue right through to the function today the service of all staff was exceptional.
The food was plentiful and fantastic , Karen the venue manager went above and beyond.
The bar staff were awesome as well.
In what was a difficult day for our family we couldn’t have wished for a better venue .

Flew in from Brisbane for Supercars and decided to come to your pub for dinner Thursday and Friday night with few others. Shout out to the venue manager Kylie, bar staff Bianca and I believe the chefs name was Nester from memory they were absolutely beautiful so welcoming and loved to have a chat. I ordered steak both nights and they were absolutely beautiful and very tasty! Probably best steak I’ve had to be honest. I Couldn’t recommend another pub as good as this one! We went to couple pubs whilst been here and this was by far the best! I’m a manager at a pub in Brisbane and wish I could bring all three of you with me to my pub to boost up the positivity and friendly vibes. Thank you so much for your hospitality. 🫶🏼 100/100

Held a private breakfast function at The Wakefield recently that was a great success. Thank you Kylie and team for your expert handling of our event - even though the chef was run off his feed the food was delicious, exactly as ordered, and we didn't have to wait very long. The refurbished venue looks great and we look forward to more functions there.

With a table of 30 (pre ordered food) the staff were ready to go and the food was in front of everyone within 10 minutes. I’m very impressed with the staff’s dedication to service and the organisation with such a large group.

The Thursday steak nights can't be beat! Steaks were tasty and served with a lovely salad and chips. There's lots of seating areas available, great atmosphere. Felt a bit more upscale than some pubs.

I just wanted to say thank you to the Wakefield for their amazing hospitality and service they during my brothers wake, which was held recently under the new owners. Such a friendly, relaxing environment in a nice part of town.

Wakefield hotel has been an amazing joint too go have a quiet one with your friends, James especially has been an amazing individual (bartender) has let me charged my phone when I didn't have a charger. Very kind and amazing people who work behind the Bar.

I organised a function for our workplace at the Wakefield Hotel and it was a great success. The staff and management were welcoming, accomodating (especially for those guests with dietaries) and were very happy to help. They made the evening very realxed and above all, the food was delicious! A wonderful place for those who need some nice tasting GF options.

Would definitely recommend and be back!

Had dinner here tonight, beef snitzel with Kirkpatrick topper and $20 rump steak special again with Kirkpatrick topper. OMG both meals were delicious!! We will be back again for more of the same. Thanks for a delicious meal, compliments to the chef 👏👏👏
