The Robe Obelisk is a lovely historical monument. Can't go right up to the obelisk due to unstable cliff edges but safety is of most importance. I found this to be far more interesting and attractive than the lighthouse.

Nice place to stop by when driving along the coast of South Australia. The cliffs are constantly being broken down, so the Obelisk is beyond a fence and not accessible. There's a few nice spots to also chill and gaze at the lush green vegetation close to the shore.

Cool monument in Robe with breathtaking views surrounding this interesting historical rocket launcher. I found the information fascinating and love where it has been placed. We walked all around the walking trails nearby and soaked in the scenery. Definitely well worth going to. Plenty of car parking nearby.

The Obelisk itself is very cool. I am amazed how long it has lasted and how level it is even with the rock giving way below it. Definitely worth the stop in Robe to break up your driving and checking out the Obelisk during the stopover. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?) it's not possible to get close to the Obelisk anymore, and the choppy seas below definitely are a good reminder of the power of the seas and how it shapes this island we live on! The trail between here and the lighthouse is nice, check it out!

this place is beautiful walk through main road as well as it pass through costal walk! The view is pretty cool from the edge of Robe Obelisk cliff! if you are lucky you may spot the seals 🦭 hanging around down the cliff near water! We spotted couple of them! Great adventure for weekend!

The Bisk, what a magnificent site to behold. This is a fan favourite for the boys. We had a great time down at Robe and the Bisk was the icing on the cake.
It erects itself out of unstable cliff side with rough waters below. The mysteries of the Bisk are for you to never know but let me tell you they are something.
A South Aussie icon for sure, she sure is a beauty.

A beautiful structure still standing strong - a red and white striped lighthouse. It is protected by building a fence a few feet away from the structure - great views from here. There is another lookout point close by that gives stunning views as well. For more details, please check the pic

This was a nice little walk to get to the obelisk. You can't really get to it as it is fenced, but you get within 100m. It's not safe to access. Must see if in the area.

See it before it crumbles and falls into the sea!

A giant monument to sea travel with plenty of interesting info signs surrounding it, an interesting art piece nearby, and a great walk with outstanding views all around. We stayed nearby, walked the full loop, took about 90 minutes (stopping freque try for photos).

If you're going to see it, see it soon - it won't last long.

Good place to walk to from the town probably 15 minutes walk.... beautiful views but you can't get very close to the obelisk as it has unstable grounds.

A great place to go on some nice walks and take in the sites and learn a little about the coastline. Well worth taking the time and the tracks are extremely kid friendly. There were also some interesting signs to read too lol !!!!

Walked from town. About 20-25 mins. Lovely walk on a nice day. Gets busy with tourists but most don’t stay too long once they’ve taken the money shot. Nice spot to sit and watch the ocean. Surprisingly wasn’t very windy. Read the info board on the history of the obelisk, explains why it’s red and white.

Had very low expectations for the Robe Obelisk, but was pleasantly suprised. Was a nice area to walk around and the obelisk allowed for some really nice photos as a backdrop. If you are in the area it is well worth swinging by. The Old Gaol ruins are only a couple of minutes walk away aswell.

Such a beautiful part of the South Australian coastline.

Hopefully this will remain here for many years to come and it doesn't end up being the victim of erosion from the ocean.

You can no longer park right down near it, which is a good thing to protect the land. Its only a short walk now from the nearby carpark and is a path.

A must stop if you're in Robe
