I’ve been coming to Lidis for almost 10 years now and just got my wedding suit from them. They are without a doubt the best place for suits in Melbourne. It’s family run and you’re always dealing directly with the owners - not some random employee. They are also old school in the good way - they really take their time when fitting you for a suit and tailor it free of charge to make sure it fits exactly right. They’ll proudly tell you that they’ve been running their shop for over 50 years, and I think they’ve probably forgotten more about suits than most other shop owners ever know.

Would highly recommend visiting the family-owned business team at Lidis Tailors & Moda. I came in looking to get my wedding suit and suits for my 4 groomsmen, and they have done a sensational job. I had a particular style in mind for our wedding and they tailored the suits perfectly to the centimeter. I bought a suit for my wedding and can't recommend them highly enough. They were so helpful and had great attention to detail, and the suits we're good quality and affordable. They even offered free tailoring! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a suit!!! It's also such a great way to support the family owned local business.

Best real tailor in Melbourne.
If you want something bespoke or altered to your taste you will not find better. I and my son have been going there for 2 decades for trousers, jackets and suites. Best fabrics from England or other quality makers. Most other 'supposed' tailors in Melbourne charge much more and send the measurements to Asia/Subcontinent to be made.
Lidis orders fabrics for each order as needed, and will make it on site in Richmond and get you back for remeasure before handing clothes over. This is the real bespoke experience. Long may Lidis live.

Would absolutely recommend this family business. Have had 2 friends buy from here for their weddings so I decided to purchase here for my own wedding. All up bought 6 suits and every visit the customer service was amazing! Husband, wife & owner Michael were always friendly, professional and went above and beyond for us.

I came here with my brother, not really knowing what to look for except that I wanted a nice suit for formal occasions that fit well. Pam served me and she was fantastic. She helped me know what the current trends were, the type of suits that would last a long time fashion wise and how to better choose a future suit. I ended up getting a fantastic quality Merino wool Australian made suit and whilst it fit perfectly what else made me more comfortable knowing that Moda was supporting local manufacturing and industry.

Will definitely be returning here again in the future.

Absolutely fantastic!

I started at the city side of bridge road and went into every suit shop I came across. I just couldn't find a suit that didn't look tacky or massively over priced until I walked into MODA. The guy who served me was amazing, he wasn't pushy and the quality of the suits were outstanding! I tried a suit on, loved it the moment I wore it. The pants were a little bit tight, but they fixed that for me and 1 hour later I walked out with a perfect suit at an amazing price!

When he first told me the suit was $250 I thought that price was just for the jacket, even then I thought it was an amazing deal. I had to double check! I got a shirt and a tie with it and it all came up to $350!!! This is my cheapest and favourite suit.

I will never shop anywhere else from now on!

I have been buying suits and jackets from this lovely family-run formal menswear shop for 10 years at least. I went again last week to buy my next suit and look for sports jackets now Covid means I work mostly from home and a less formal look is more part of my life. Yet again, they have a great range, pricing, attentive service and free tailoring (by an excellent tailor, by the way) for a perfect fit. And I walked away with one more jacket than I really needed because I liked it so much. Great classic cuts which means as usual I will wear them out with love not throw them out because I got fed up with the style and fit. For formal wear the value, range and quality available at this expert shop make it stupid for me to go anywhere else. The best customer service imaginable. The staff at Moda really care about each customer and make them feel right at home. Prices are fantastic and the free tailoring is phenomenal. If you are in Melbourne, I highly recommend getting suits from Moda. 5 stars with no hesitation.

Pam was helpful on answering the questions about what type of suit fits me. She can give great suits with the budget you are on and they don't charge for alteration which most stores charge for. Overall recommended store and will go with them again in the future.

Been coming here for suits and general clothing for years. The service is impeccable and always with a smile. Their knowledge of materials is A1. Their attention to detail when tailoring suits and other alterations is brilliant and their workmanship outstanding. Prices are also great. Highly recommend this men's wear store.

After being either ignored or being dealt with by 20 something's who really had no idea about suits other than wanting my money I headed off to Moda after reading some reviews out here. Can I just what a pleasure it was to be dealt with so professionally from the moment I entered the store. I was shown a variety of beautiful suits at fantastic sale prices. Any sales person can hand you a suit and tell you that it looks good. The difference was that Pam not only found the correct cut for me but then also suggested the slight alterations that would make the suit look so much better ( slightly taking up the cuff length, slight tuck in the back of jacket as well as the often usual length of pants being adjusted and in my case the waist also been taken in a little to give it a much better fit). What astounded me was that she then had a tailor come in and pin and chalk the suit all at no additional cost as I was buying two suits and then told me I could pick it up within two days which I thought was amazing. I have bought dozens of suits over the years at all of the regular suit stores that most of us frequent however after thus experience they have won me for life.
Bottom line is this: if you are looking for a quality suit at a great price and wish to be dealt with by professionals then forget everyone else and head to Moda

Totally surpassed my expectations as I thought genuine, quality customer service was a thing of the past. The friendly gentleman recommended a suit based on the kind of thing that I was looking for, picked out the correct sizes just by looking at me (he's obviously done this for many years) and even made slight alterations for free. He and his wife were a breath of fresh air and really made my day.
