Really enjoyed our meals here. What a gem! Got the char kwey teow and hor fun. Both were absolutely delicious. Really good service and reasonable prices too!

My family loves Johnny's cooking. We've known these wonderful people for 30+ years and have loved coming to their restaurants, wherever they've been.

Everything is fresh, delicious, and authentic.

From the outside it’s the typical food restaurant in your local shops… nothing pretentious.
But once inside you can feel a friendly atmosphere and buzzing with activity and good mood among the patrons.
The food is exquisite and it shows it’s been prepared with passion and commitment to please. Visually and tasteful.
Give it a go, and I’m sure it will become one of your places to go.
BYO wine is great, as you can pair your favourite dish in advance bringing your ideal wine or spirit.

This is the best Malaysian restaurant I have visited. For me, the sizzling Szechuan beef and vegetables is outstanding.. the fact is all their menu items are seriously good. Do yourself a favour and give this restaurant a visit…

We went there after a high school graduation ceremony to celebrate and we wanted asian food that’s good and close to home. I only wish there was a partition between diners and Uber pick up delivery as they were all standing or sitting in the background of our photos. The owner remembers my name even though I don’t dine there very often.

So lucky to find the most authentic Malaysian version Hainanese chicken rice since Kotaraya restaurant closed. Their chicken is super soft and smooth. Their chicken rice not only included chicken stock, chicken oil, but also ginger pieces. Chicken rice come with chicken, rice, soup and chilli. Their homemade tofu also very tasty too, it taste like Japanese egg tofu, but included prawn meat. We also go for their Chinese New Year special, Assam whole fish is the best ever. This restaurant is not too big, but able to suit 3 big groups and few 4 person tables. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is very clean and full of sunlight. Parking nearby.

This is a standout authentic Malaysian restaurant with quality chef at the helm. Make sure you seek out the Malaysian dishes not just the Asian Chinese staples. Butter Prawns, Black Pepper Beef, Salty Egg Chicken Ribs, Sambal spinach are some of our favs.

This is a totally unexpected find in a small inobvious strip of shops .. but the food is absolutely delicious , fresh , tasty and amazingly good value . Regulars are always full of praise as it hits the spot with whatever you order

First time here with a large group of us. Thr staff were warm and accomodating. It was an amazing experience but foremost this was the best Chinese food I have ever had. Good food, fresh, hot and large portioned. Definitely will be coming back

First visit since they relocayed from Elsternwick and it was delicious. Most people post photos of the food prior to eating, but it was so delicious we just could wait and as you can see we demolished the whole lot 😀. Super delicious and we’ll definitely be back.

Don’t be fooled by the unassuming presence this place has on Bay Rd. It is one of those gems that is best to keep to oneself before word gets too far around. Every dish is superb with attention to fresh produce and cooked just right. Hard to pick a favourite but wasabi prawns and coconut chicken are wonderful. Extensive and imaginative vegetarian menu too. You can tell this is an exceptional place by the number of awards it has on the walls. Good and quick service

We get take away from here often..I only ever get the vegetarian fried rice but my husband has other stuff and is always happy. My review is specifically for the veg fried rice...it's the best fried rice ive ever had ..so fresh and perfect combo of ingredients! I get it without tofu which they do without peoblem. And best of all, my "only eat plain rice" 6 year old smashed it.

We entirely enjoyed the gourmet cuisines perfectly balanced flavours which brings back decades of memories of "home town" authentic cuisines. Very impressive portion size too. Everybody left happily with full bellies!

Got uber eats through Mid Valleys. Absolutely the best chicken and sweet corn soup I’ve had in a restaurant!! Beef with black bean sauce is yum too and great portion. Highly recommended 👌

Excellent food, and really generous serving size. Wife is Malaysian, and she gives it the seal of approval as the best Malaysian in Bayside.
