This place is a treasure trove . If you haven’t been and are struggling on if you make a trip because there isn’t an online website - make the trip. I often sew when I’m making a special outfit for a wedding or event and because this place is actually quite big it’s unlikely you’ll need to make multiple trips to several fabric stores they have a wide variety you should be able to find things here that work for your special project. They have a big mix of price points and if you spot a fabric you like only to realise it’s a bit more than you wanted to spend they’ll likely have a wide range of alternatives for you. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

Jenny was so helpful and knowledgeable! I went in trying to get some fabric to match the inside lining of my wedding dress, so naturally I was stressing. But she helped me find something identical and the price shocked me! (In a good way!) I would highly recommend this store, it has so much material, and the staff were very helpful. Thanks again so much Jenny! You really made my day and put me at ease.

Franke Stewart remains one of the best places to go for formal fabrics in Melbourne. They have new and vintage fabrics, lace, accessories and trim and their staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. They have budget friendly fabrics as well as high range, Jenny was a great help with finding fabrics for my wedding and bridesmaids dresses on a low budget and they worked beautifully!

Amazing Fabrics, expert advice, best prices and the shop is looking unbelievable with its new transformation making it easier to choose fabrics in colour schemes. Special thanks to Jenny who was so helpful picking the right tones of fabrics put together and Ron for having the fabric I needed within 24 hours. Thank you guys couldn’t have done it without you . The amazing selection of fabrics and laces at Frank Stuart’s are of beautiful quality. The staff are all polite, wonderful and mindful of what you want and need. Excellent customer service, Jenny was fantastic, she was helpful and very knowledgeable in helping me choose the right fabric for my special occasion. So grateful for her help and I highly recommend her for her expertise of fabrics. The prices are reasonable and I highly recommend Frank Stuart’s for their variety of exquisite fabrics and laces.

Bron and Jenny were absolute superstars yesterday. Our school had a very odd request and they were both so helpful and kind and were able to help us find a solution. I will definitely be looking to Franke Stuart for all my fabric needs in the future

I can’t express how much I LOVE this store! I’ve been buying affordable fabrics here for years, always with the help of the lovely staff. Jenny is amazing! - gives great advice and spends lots of time discussing material choice and techniques for my garments. 10/10

This place has the absolute best range of fabrics, of higher quality and more affordable than Spotlight. The lady helping me was very friendly and knowledgeable as well. They have beautiful wedding dress fabrics ie crepe too. Really glad I found this place!

Jenny is incredibly helpful and so generous in sharing her expertise, experience and takes the time to give customers 1 on 1 service. As a stressed out fashion design student, I was incredibly grateful for the time and suggestions she was able to offer me (which is hard to find at other stores)! Could not rate Frankie Stuart highly enough! The absolute best customer service who were all willing to help and share advice. Felt so comfortable in their store without knowing much about what I needed, they were all willing to help and just lovely!

I have always had great service. If they don’t have a fabric in stock they go to the extra effort of ordering it in and personally letting me know. Great range of specialty fabrics that I can’t find anywhere else.

Amazing experience here at Franke Stuart! Jenny looked after me and she was very helpful trying to source the right type of fabric for my bridesmaids dresses. They also have a wealth of knowledge and expertise in dress making which definitely helps when I have absolutely zero. They are also very honest people here, genuinely trying to help you and if they think it will cost you too much they will tell you so.

What an amazing range of gorgeous lush fabrics! Also Jenny.V was superb. Knowledgeable and friendly - can’t wait for our next visit.
