Mörk Chocolate Brew House

Definitely the place to go if you like chocolate! Great hot chocolate and other signature drinks made with cocoa beans. The staff is very lovely and attentive. Especially Marija is a total sweetheart, who took such good care of us and answered all the questions we had about their products. We got the Campfire Hot Chocolate (delicious, 10/10!), the Cacao Flight which was very intriguing and some buns which were great. Absolutely coming back to this place :)

Had their signature campfire hot chocolate on a Tuesday afternoon. It was super rich in cocoa, not overly sweet at all, which really suited my taste. One of the best real hot chocolate in Melbourne ❤ It was definitely on the more expensive end though. The shop was calm and quiet, very relaxing to spend my afternoon. Staff was very friendly too, explaining each item on the menu! Hope they expand for more shops in the East!!

I turned up at 7:45 and had a great coffee. Patricia coffee!! It’s usually only in the city and only on weekdays. Cinnamon bun was also ready at this time. I had my coffee as an almond flat white and it was excellent. We were already spoiled for choice here in North Melbourne and now we’re even more spoiled.

Nanu Nanu! Mörk chocolaterie is out of this world! I've had their hot chocolates at their Victoria Market establishment, only to discover that the home of Mörk is in North Melbourne at -150 Errol St, North Melbourne VIC 3051. Sumptuous decadent and sensual... Sip and indulge with your amore. *Special mention - The the staff here are particularly fantastic. *April update - still giving this place 5 stars, but the pricing system as I have discovered is silly - prices listed on the main board are for take-away only, this seems somewhat deceptive. Ask and double check what prices are to dine in. Mörk, it's time to change the board prices or make them clear that they are for take-away only. Nice & cosy ambience. It wasn't crowded when we were there (around 4pm). The hot chocolates were really really good. Best one we tried in Melbourne. The pastries & cakes were a nice compliment to the hot chocolate we had.

Quaint little cafe with excellent chocolate and really pleasant staff.

Shout out to the man who served us for being really attentive and going the extra mile to even offer something as simple as cutting the pastry in half for us.

Best hot chocolate in town!!! I tried the Chocolate flight, it included 3 items which are cacao cold brew, original hot chocolate and chocolate bar. All these are made from the same type of cacao bean! When you order the set, there is a card to let you write down how you feel about it, love this details.
The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about the chocolate. I would like to try the chocolate cake next time!

Dropped in on Saturday (7th October) for my birthday celebration weekend and had the campfire hot chocolate and slice of cake. It was all absolutely delicious! Staff were very friendly and attentive. Will come back again!

Small little place, with only a couple of tables outside and inside but the hot chocolate 🍫 is AMAZING!

They have a great variety of beverages with chocolate. They also have a few pastries and desserts that you can have with your chocolate but mostly you go there for the liquid gold 🤤

Mörk Chocolate 🍫

Mörk Chocolate was created in 2012 using the same approach taken by specialty coffee-makers; with respect for the traceability, quality and unique origin of ingredients all the way from bean to cup.

Their beautiful chocolate brew house is located in Errol Street in North Melbourne. From the outside it has the traditional Melbourne look. The interior design is very sleek with bright wood, stone flooring, and dried flower arrangements. Stylish lighting is hanging from the high ceiling and the counter is made of tiles to the front and a dark big stone plate on top: authentic, minimalistic and assuring that the products can shine.

I tried three different chocolate drinks:

1. Junior Dark [50%]: Rich dark cocoa balances with the toffee like sweetness of unrefined coconut sugar. The perfect introduction to the world of dark drinking chocolate.
2. Dark Milk & Salt [65%]: Rich cacao powder, dark milk chocolate, coconut blossom sugar and a pinch of river salt make for a smooth and creamy hot chocolate experience with dark caramel notes, hints of malt and honey, and a salty tingle.
3. Summer Edition: Raspberry & Thai, made with vibrant flavours of real raspberries and Thai lime.

What a treat 💣! Furthermore I enjoyed a roasted marshmallow (that was a special highlight) and a cinnamon bun along with my hot chocolate tasting flight. I cannot describe the sensory experience in words - out of this world 🗺!

It is great to see that certain brands carefully source their ingredients and focus on traceability.

Mörk specialise in high quality and ethically sourced chocolate. You’ll be able to order a range of their drinking chocolates with varying levels of cacao, a great place to taste the art of making good hot chocolate.

Such a cozy place 😍 it was a really good place to chill out. I had 70% cacao hot chocolate and the yuzu pistachio dessert (forgot the correct name 😅). They all were not too sweet, so satisfied. They have a shop in QVM, but I liked here

They have a variety of chocolate options from hot to cold and from sweet to pure chocolate. Desserts are very tasty too! Hopefully they open up another branch in the eastern suburb soon 😆

Must go!!! I 1st heard about it because a friend really wanted their hot chocolate powder. Mörk hot chocolate powder is available in many places now, but I took the advise to visit the shop, and try the hot chocolate and cakes.

I ordered the Easter special, such a cute surprise!! Poured hot chocolate over my Easter eggs, and wow! Marshmallows!! And the flavour, there’s a slight hint of orange that I wasn’t expecting, which was so cool!!

Order the “campfire” for a one-of-a-kind experience. If you enjoy a smoky flavour with your hot chocolate, the overall experience is amazing. Get your cameras and video ready!!

The cute little bundt cakes were nice and dense, and yum!! You might want to share just the 1 cake, as hot chocolate can get quite heavy.

Such an experience. I would highly recommend this place as something you would like to impress a date at, or for a fun family treat day. As a tourist, yes! Go! Go visit! I did, didn’t regret it.

Very cute artisan chocolatier. The staff were super attentive and knowledgeable. They offer both hot and iced drinks together with baked goods and retails.

This was my first experience trying the high quality mork products and it exceeded expectations. The hot chocolate was the best I've had to date, then the baked goods were incredibly gourmet to seal the deal. If you're in North Melbourne go get some delicious baked experiences.

Great little spot tucked away in North Melbourne. Staff were really lovely, told us all about the menu. Nice minimalist space that is well appointed. I had the Dark Milk with Sea Salt hot chocolate and it was excellent, more on the bitter side which was exactly what I wanted. 5 stars for sure.

What an awesome experience... It's chocolate in a whole new way and almost everything on the menu has been transformed into a unique experience. We were there for a birthday pre brunch and the experience was well and truly memorable. I had the camp fire item and tried a couple of different things that others in the group had ordered and it was a great experience. Definitely a must check out item!

Had the Campfire Hot Chocolate which had no sugar and came with charcoal salt which was an excellent addition and really made the drink.

Chanced upon them one afternoon and it’s probably not going to be the last time. They have a very well tailored menu of bespoke hot and cold chocolate drinks that you won’t find anywhere else. Worth a quick visit. Quick as the store is very small and it’s only considerate for patrons to be quick and allow others the experience.
