This place is an absolute find! Food is wicked if your passing through on your way to Adelaide or anywhere this place is a must stop the chicken schnitty burgers are thick as and delicious.

Best fish and chip shop i have been to in a long time! Great staff and customer service. Great prices and deals and you always get your moneys worth. Highly recommend georges fish and chips.

Always enjoy George's. The staff are friendly. The food is tasty. Prices are fair and serving size is great. Can be a little hard trying to order as it can get pretty noisy sometimes, but that's hardly a major issue. Wait times aren't very long either.

Beautiful, fresh, crispy fish and chips! All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Not greasy at all and packaged with care. The lovely ladies who served us were so warm and welcoming. 10/10!

Stopped in for dinner on the way to Walhalla. Not being local, it was a bit of a lucky dip when choosing between Moe’s many takeaway shops but when we saw how busy George’s was, we knew we’d found a winner! Despite being a busy Friday night, our food was ready quickly (about 20 mins). The chips were plentiful and well-cooked, the flake was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside, and I loved the option of ‘real’ calamari! My partner really enjoyed his burger and potato cake too. Some of the best fish and chips I’ve had!

Deadset the best fish and chips I've eaten in years! The batter was on point, the awesome lady gave me a extra bit of fish as she thought one of mine was too small. The chicko roll was cooked to perfection. But to me it's all about the batter. I'm definitely going back every time I go through. Cholesterol be dammed!

The fish was big and cooked to perfection.
The chips were large and cooked golden.
The potato cakes were 6 inches in diameter and cooked to perfection.
It was the best. If ever you're in Moe go there you won't be disappointed.

Great chippy and best value in town

Great food, not a lot of batter on fish and potato cakes. But note it can be very cold waiting so I would suggest to phone before you go! Also, they now have EFTPOS now. Huge bonus for going back. Plus the staff are really lovely.

Just moved to Moe and was looking for a good fish and chips shop and I found it! Even couldn't find a decent one at my old place. Awesome friendly staff, awesome service and delivery. The best souvlaki I have had!

It’s been 26 years since I had a childhood memory where I ate fish and chips in a regional town that lived up to my high expectations (for the record that was in Foster near Wilson’s Prom). Today I experienced a complete and utter 10/10 food experience at George’s. George was behind the fryer passionately cleaning when I arrived. Once we put our order in I watched the master move across the friers like the true Greek professional he is. The hamburger was as fresh and old school as you can get. The grilled flake was thick, juicy and fresh. The chips where big in size and perfectly cooked. If you are ever near Moe do yourself a favour and go meet George.
