Buchan Motel

Lovely and helpful owner, kept in great contact.
Couldn't stop looking at our view from the balcony attached to the room. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Enjoyed seeing the Kangaroos grazing on the lawn. A short walk from the local pub for dinner.
Breakfast supplied was more than sufficient.
Would like to come and stay again, next time for more than one night.

Beautiful spot overlooking Buchan when great rooms, great service and great views.

Rooms and bedding are off the highest quantity with nice little touches laid on my the owners (I won't say what they are as don't want to spoil the surprise).

They've even got a local cat who pops by to say hello 😁

A lovely place to stay in Buchan. Terrific view over the hills. The hosts provide a welcoming environment. Spacious units with king sized beds and breakfast supplies. An easy walk to the pub for dinner. Great value too!

Great location, great view, the cleanest, most impeccable motel rooms I've ever been in.
The breakfast basket was quite generous as well.
Kangaroos hopping around the yard after sundown were a welcome surprise for a tourist like me.

We stayed in the studio room (family room) kids had a bunk bed and we had a king bed and bathroom. Room was spotless and a great range of complimentary continental breakfast was left in the room for us.
Lovely views of rolling hills and kangaroos in the morning. Great walking distance to local pub and Buchan caves.

Lovely views. Very clean room. Super friendly and accommodating staff. Kangaroos on the hills outside your balcony. Excellent breakfast provisions. Best motel we’ve ever been to. It’s very luxurious for a ‘motel’ : it should be called a retreat!

Situated off the main road of Buchan, Buchan Motel is a lovely, idyllic hide away. Awesome views of Gippsland's rolling countryside. Close to multiple national parks. Clean and modern accommodation and facilities. Private bathroom and well stocked kitchenette. Allie at the front desk was beyond lovely, delivering fresh bread, lettuce, lemons and chives to our room shortly after check in. Many kangaroos & birds roam the property.i felt this place was easily worth twice the price paid for a king room. Fantastic value and awesome scenery, you won't want to miss out on staying at Buchan Motel.

A must stay if in Buchan or driving through. Attention to detail is impeccable, the complimentary breakfast is superb with fresh coffee and plunger, fresh bread , orange juice and ample choice of spreads. Outstanding cleanliness and big fluffy towels and pillows. Thanks for a lovely night.

We had a wonderful stay at Buchan Motel. We were on a road trip and staying at a different motel every night and this one was definitely the best.
Staff is friendly, the view was amazing, the room was clean, bed was super comfy, towels were high quality, breakfast was delicious. I loved the attention to details.

Love this motel and beautiful views over the Buchan Valley. This was our second time at Buchan Motel, visiting for the STAY accommodation expo. The rooms are very clean, beds very comfortable esp Room #1 King Bed, with generous breakfast provisions, fluffy towels and balcony with small table & chairs. A short walk to the main street and the Buchan Caves Hotel for a delicious pub meal and The Willow Buchan Valley Cafe. Very friendly service everywhere!

Stayed at one of the 4 people rooms. The beds and bathrooms were very clean, some cereal and juice was provided for breakfast. The only negative was that there wasn't really a view (unless grass counts).

Stayed here a few days ago and exceeded all expectations. Very clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast supplies are in the room which is a nice touch. Takes 2 min to walk to the pub. I’d stay here again.

Such a lovely place to stay. The cabins are clean and newly renovated, and have all the essentials. There is an outdoor bbq with all necessary utensils. The owners are very lovely and are super helpful and caring.

We enjoyed our trip back to Melbourne from the beautiful Burrill Lake, NSW...and the overnight stay at the Buchan Motel was a wonderful surprise. The motel is modern, clean, offers great services and is good value. Our 'service dog' slept through the night on his bed and couldn't get over the chickens and kangaroos on the property.
We couldn't recommend the Buchan Motel more highly...but I was taken aback by the owner appearing at the front door and demanding we wear a mask when we arrived. Having caught up with the news overnight, we came to understand.

Lovely service, with rooms clean, tidy, and well equipped. Well arranged for two adults and three children, too. Easy walking distance to the shops and hotel for food and supplies. Great BBQ facilities - got to spend an evening eating dinner under the covered area watching kangaroos hop by on the lawn. We'll definitely be back :)

Staff was friendly, the rooms are very modern and the breakfast was quite good as well. At the end of the day we had several kangaroos eating in the area near our balcony which was quite pleasant to see.

Very lovely clean rooms in a beautiful spot. Gorgeous views from the balcony out back and breakfast is included for free! As well as some great coffee and a couple of bars of kit kats!

Very comfortable room, friendly staff, free brekkie and a gorgeous spot. What else does one need?

3 mins drive to Buchan caves or walk to walk to the Pub.
Very clean and new rooms . Balcony with views over the valley.
The heating worked very well and the fridge was stocked with complimentary juice and other goodies .
Real ground COFFEE with a supplied plunger.
We would definitely stay here again if we were to visit the caves .

Wonderful experience, the host turned on the heater before we arrived and arranged some gluten free toast which we forgot to mention. It is also close to the only bistro around!

An absolute gem, we highly recommend! Exceptionally clean and well appointed, very comfortable beds and the breakfast inclusion was substantial. The perfect location to explore the area, by foot and car. Super helpful and friendly staff (thanks for posting the PJ top back so quickly!)
