We had Colin review a property for us. He was very prompt in organising the inspection with the agent, and quickly sent the report the same day later in the evening.

The report was extensive, with the real estate agent even saying that she was surprised at how thorough Colin was. He spent approximately 2.5 hours at the property, whereas most inspectors apparently spend about 45 minutes to an hour.

After the inspection, I was able to get in touch with Colin via a phone call and he gave such useful and practical advice. I’m a complete novice when it comes to buildings and house maintenance, but Colin was incredibly easy to talk to and answered all my concerns. I felt that he genuinely wanted to help me rather than just limiting his advice to the findings of his report without thinking practically of what it would mean for me if I were to purchase the property.

We didn’t end up getting the property, but I would use Hamley Home Inspections again in the future and would highly recommend their service.

I have employed Hamley Home Inspections (Colin) to perform two separate Building & Pest Inspections. Firstly in 2017 and again in 2023.

Colin and his team are extremely thorough in their inspections and provide a very detailed report. The report will pick up any 'deal breakers', but also (and of equal value) it provides you with a clear list of minor issues to address in the midterm to ensure your property remains in great condition. Colin also provides a link to around 100-200 photos (depending on property size).

Hamley Home Inspections are very quick, respecting the often 7-day period that home purchase contracts provide them to both inspect and report. Their services are very affordable.
