To repeat my original post, this is an excellent stop, well maintained with enough space to comfortably alight and board. Its bare functionality prevents it from being an outright destination, but no doubt it provides endless delight to local commuters.

As a further address to those who offered their sage addendums to my last, now deleted, review, I feel there are some details I mistakenly chose to omit.

I did not raise my voice, nor insult in any way the law enforcement officials with whom I interacted. I was most certainly not vulgar, nor did I 'drop c-bombs like a Magpie's supporter in a Sudanese prison' (whatever on earth that is supposed to mean). I do believe that I addressed their valid concerns with some dignity, and I simply aimed to state my case. As the issue is no longer being pressed by the courts, I feel compelled to state that I was simply discussing with them the exact nature of what constitutes 'essential services'. The younger of the two officers with whom I engaged made it quite clear that such services were provided only by those engaged in 'saving lives'. I protested this on two counts: firstly, the very lifeblood of Melbourne is public transport - it is so valuable that trams have continued full tilt, even when there are no passengers save the driver. It is in our interests as citizens to be aware of the value of our own transportation, including our entrance and our exit in that stream, and that involves a palpable and up to date knowledge of the various states of this fine city's transportation portals. Secondly, I had seen a surveyor on the pavement some minutes earlier. I queried how this could be deemed 'essential', and yet what I was doing was seen as not.

I have genuine doubts as to whether either of the officers understood, or even chose to consider, my first point. And as to the second, the more senior officer informed me that 'building roads is infrastucture. You're playing with your phone, mate'.

Granted, I took umbridge at this, and our negotiations deteriorated somewhat.

It should be noted that I chose to leave the site of my own volition. I was not told to 'f' off, nor did I 'pee myself'. I have certain knowledge of the commenter who added these thoughts to my original post, but I choose not to share that at this stage.

I accepted the officers' position, and I have fully redacted thoughts to the opposite that may have been offered in my earlier post. Then, as always, I remain a firm supporter of the agencies of law and order that ensure our cities remain safe and our trams run on time.
