Longbow was recently appointed for repairs on our major water damaged property. They did an amazing job. I am really surprised to see low ratings here. My experience was really good. Josh Catt was the supervisor. He always went out of his way to help. He was very flexible and customer focused. Kept me up to date on the progress.

It is always difficult to find a builder that will not only do quality work but be flexible as you need to make changes and keep you up to date with the progress proactively. I am glad I went with Longbow as I found all these qualities in their work.

I would highly recommend Josh and Longbow Group.

The customer service experience was great. We were kept up to date on every part of the progress of our repair work. Lewis the Job Leader would ring with every part of the service, ordering wood when deliveries were coming, the exact times they were coming, and if a bit late would ring to let us know. We moved all the wood, concrete etc around the back behind the gate to keep it safe and covered the concrete under a tarp. Lewis rang to make sure we had every thing covered as rain was expected. The arrival of the skip and the tree cutting up, and removed.And our choice of color to paint the pergola, fence and lattice fixture.

Cant believe the bad reviews on here. Longbow contacted me less than an hour after I filled in the RACV online claim and had the job assessed the following day. I received constant updates re the works progress and all completed in a very timely manner. Certainly my experience has been very positive and I've found them to be exceptionally professional

Supposed to let them know when roof repair was completed. Rudest receptionist ever. While speaking was interrupted NAME and funnily enough she was confusing my surname which can also be a Christian name. If only she would listen. I was contacted by management and this problem was resolved. Since then a plasterer, electrician and painter all arrived on time, their work was first class and they are an asset to Longbow. I would definitely refer them to friends and use them myself again.

After dreading the thought of the repairs to a flooded bathroom and bedroom, the supervisor Ang took all my worries away. He had great customer service, always answered my messages or phone calls, he was very professional and knowledgeable in his work. He organised the many different tradies in meticulous fashion. The tradies were all courteous, reliable and professional. The end result was amazing. Very happy, thank you Longbow Group.

Wow great work guys I was impressed by your speedy response ans communication throughout the process. I must say it was pretty stressful when the pipe bursted abd the damaged caused. I was overwhelming and your team was very professional and help put my mind at ease. Thanks guys highly recommend

My insurance company retired Longbow Group to me, couldn't be happier with the service.

This company was sent by RACV and I am extremely pleased with the work they did.

Avoid. They took 6 weeks to lodge a report back to the insurer that was supposed to take 3 weeks MAX. They blamed it on hiring an external contractor. Reception staff was VERY rude when trying to get some answers after having a tree fall on my house. When I tried to give her the feedback that I thought she was being quite unhelpful, she made it all about her and how she has to deal with these sorts of calls due to the storms in Melbourne. Yeah. That's your job. You're not the one without power and with a massive tree trunk lying in your driveway... Was dumbfounded at how unempathetic one person could be. I have complained to RACV about this company but from looking at all the other reviews here, I'm not surprised.

Where do I start with the circus that is The Longbow Group, clearly understaffed and overcommitted to jobs. Problems from day 1 after they were sent to access insurance claim for water damage.
1. Pressure to cash settle for value far below what repairs would cost, rude and unhelpful staff member when cash settlement refused.
2. Once Scope of Works completed for review it needed multiple variations made as entire parts of the work were left off including key work directly to do with the water damaged area. Upon signing off on Scope of Work there was no sign of any kind of schedule to the job or predicted times of stages of completion nor any indication of project management or communication between admin staff, site supervisors and sub contractors.
3. Serious lack communication between ALL parties and back to home owner/client. Work not started or ever done on time or on the date stated MULTIPLE times.
4. Sub contractors caused EXTRA work and personal effects damage from carelessness, needed pointing out multiple times the lack of common sense.
5. Quality of final product POOR, angle grinder gouges in new metal framework - coloured in with a marker to cover up instead of replace, silicon looks like it has been applied by a 5 year old. Painting is patchy, dripping and entirely missing in areas, areas of patched up drywall not sanded back before painting. Floorboard caulking not done, tile metal surrounds not smoothed off leaving rough jagged edges and general lack of attention to detail and quality.
6. Job closed off by Longbow Group and Insurer before been finished.
7. Tradesmen turning up when we were not informed by anyone and then been told they’ve come across Melbourne (hire a local) for the job.
8. Tradesmen NOT turning up at all multiple times and costing us lost work hours and income.
Learn from this review and ask your insurer for a different company or if you have choice of repairer do better research than my lack there of and choose a reputable company. As you can see from previous reviews if I had just researched this company I would have avoided a big headache.
Oh and demand they hire local tradies if any where possible!

A plumber was sent to our house from our insurance company CGU to do an assessment on suspected of pipe leak.
He had to break the concrete to further investigate the leak.
He had informed us he had sent a report and photo to his company.
When we put a claim for repair of the concrete that plumber had broken he totally denied it and even said to the insurance company that he did not touch anything.
Longbow completely denied of any worked that the plumber had done even though a photo and report was submitted.
Not only they are bunch of liar, they rude, condescending, unprofessional and not reliable.
Will not EVER used or recommended it to anyone to use Longbow for any kind of work or repair/service

Had very bad experience with these guys - first they couldn't do an insurance repair, and told my insurer that i requested a cash settlement without ever contacting me.
Then they decided to do the repair and took my excess
They then never contacted me and when i contacted my insurance agency they said Longbow had tried to contact me which never happened.
Took over a week to get my money back.
