I was very happy with our recent school photographs. In particular the sibling image that Advanced life captured of my children was just beautiful. The package that I purchased was excellent value. There was so much included in the pack. I would highly recommend Advanced Life Photography to other school groups.

Photos are overpriced and bad quality. For years my children's school has used this company for photos, and not once, have I received any photos of decent quality. The kids look miserable. With one year, one of my sons didn't even have his individual photo taken, despite being at school and paid for.

I have heard other parents complain about the poor quality of the photos, with a couple saying that their child's individual photo had been photoshopped.

You guys did photos for my kids, and they were the worst photos I have ever seen for school photos.

The most basic things like fixing the shirt colars and straightening up the shirts before taking the photos and you didn't even care about it.

The sibbling photo was horrendous, the kids looked awkward and I can tell it was rushed job and moved on.

I have complained to the school but don't know how you are still allowed to take school photos when you are clear not qualified.

Super over priced. Very very expenaive for what it is. The word "RIP off" exist for this company. They were good up untill pre covid but since then the quality of photo become real poor. I mean real bad. Lots of people probably can take better photo with their mobile phone. What I still can't believe is that they charged entre school for group photo and didn't even take a group photos back in 2020. Right OK. It was due to COVID situation but they should have refund us if they could not take group shot. They gather individual photos on one page as a group shot but that's NOT a group photo that we paid for. Unbelievable service. Rip off!!!!
School should really consider changing the company. And photographer come out to the achool also rude. Again not it used to.

The quality of the photos I got; I would say extremely poor. We as a family we expected to get one very memorable clear sibling photo May 2023 but to our disappointment. We all had just a glance once and we will not think about it again. Very poor. The children in fact said they were harassed, no time to prepare and then still the quality of the photo so poor that you need to keep a good eye to know they are your children. Please be mindful especially when kids want to see this in their future, and not about the cost alone.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. Just received my child's school photographs after our school inexplicably changed providers (they were great; quality, turnaround and additional extras of a school book and funny photos!). Not only did it take two terms to receive them from this backyard business, the apparent quality of the first lot of photos (taken in TERM ONE) were so bad that our school demanded a retake (IN MID JUNE). Well, what we FINALLY received are so poor, so grainy, badly lit; so far below amateur that I shudder to think what the original photos looked like. Equally as shocking to our school community, our complaints as parents are not being listened to, they chose to ditch our previous photography company for being 'too expensive'. So many of us can't understand why the school won't switch back. We've all wasted our money. Plus, the package prices here did not seem to be any cheaper, and in the end, we've thrown away our cash on laughable class photos that we can't show family in any seriousness; including a white mark on all my daughter's portraits. In the end, you get what you pay for and it saddens me to think this company is now tasked with capturing the most important years of their childhood ongoing at our school. Devastating.

The average age of these ‘photographers’ seem like they were born before Kodak!
Get with the times, the ‘rules’ and contemporary expectations.

I'm trying not to be too harsh, but all I can say is every year we mentally prepare ourselves for the obligatory school photos and every year we are not disappointed by the 'quality' of this company. I think the prints are nice, but there's something about the timing or carelessness of the shots (2 kids, 1 sibling) which bugs me year after year. Sometimes they make us laugh, sometimes we're just scratching our heads. We're meant to be giving these out and we just can't...

My daughter had her first school photos taken back at the end of term 1. We received them late May to be completely dissappointed and the quality unsatisfactory. My daughters prep photo (or any school photo for that matter) is one that is ment to be shared proudly with family and friends..... mine is still in the folder it was delivered in.

I have made contact with the company via email 3 times to replace the package with new reprints due to lines through all the photos....HOWEVER, I'M STILL WAITING!!! We are now about to begin term 4.... and I'M SURE I'LL STILL BE WAITING BECAUSE ITS ALREADY BEEN 5 MONTHS.... SO WHAT'S ANOTHER MONTH OR TWO TO REPRINT PHOTOS!!

At my daughters school there were multiple parents with the same issue with sub par prints and by the reviews I say we unfortunately won't be the last to suffer at the hands of this company. This company has a lack of respect for their customers and also to the school/s that have contracted them for the job.

Just recieved our daughter's photos..... terrible. Her eyes are closed and everyone in the photo is so pale, no children are smiling. I am so upset, I usually give the photos out to family members (Not this year), I bought the larger package which was biggest waste of money. I have tried emailing the company directly, no response to my email. Disgusting customer service. I am questioning whether the photographer has actually done a photography course. I wish I read the reviews prior to ordering. Will def provide feedback to school to use another company next year.

I never make reviews but...the school my daughters go to Their cousins attend as well so 4 have the same last name. I ordered a sibling picture for my girls (second daughters first year in prep) I didn’t get this as they mixed my neices picture up with my children. My sister in laws payment didn’t go through for the sibling photo and my she didn’t know, my niece went up asking we have a sibling photo so they assumed they were my daughters oviously didn’t check there names, All they offered me was for ME to go to bullen to get a picture taken in September so for there screw up I didn’t get anything except a refund. Not happy at all. If I had my choice they would not be my school photographer. I am very disappointed. Yes I got a refund but I still ordered something they were hired to do and did not receive

Over 2 months between photos being taken and photos finally being sent home from school. Then they sent me photos of the wrong child from the wrong class, and no photo of my child. No response at all to contacting them through their website. I am trying to see if the school can speak with them to arrange replacement photos otherwise I will need to request a credit card chargeback. What a hopeless company.

Terrible service. Expensive. Waste of paper sent home each year.
Huge email thread to get one missing sibling photo, I jump through all the privacy hoops yet just get rude emails or no response. I need to email the school to get the photo regardless. I wouldn’t bother apart from the children really wanting this particular photo they posed for.
What a mess. I hope the school finds a new provider fir next year.

I paid for my son's photo on the Feb 8, 2022 and I was definitely not one of the late orders. All my son's friends received their order and I am still waiting for his photo. I have sent 2 emails to Advancedlife to follow up but I did not hear anything from them. This is very disappointing

Easily the worst school photo package ever sold! How they are still operating is beyond me! Why schools use their services is yet another of life’s unanswerable questions!

I can only imagine the schools must be getting a cut off the profits! $30 dollars we paid for this class photo of my son in year 1. We can’t even frame it unless we go to it with scissors! This was the cheapest photo too!

Every other year we have always bought a pack that contained a class photo that is actually frameable, a 5x7 single, a bunch of wallet single photos and 2 6x4 singles. This coat around $60 for each one of our kids. This was clearly not from this useless “Advancedlife” mob of thieves! Advanced they are not!! I could easily do a better job with my iPhone and some officeworks prints.

But this is simply disgusting! Even if we were to spend another $30 on top for a single photo, it is simply printed on the same gloss cardboard, except the part that you can write on is removed. See pic.

This goes to show not only how out of touch and useless my kids’ school is for employing this company, but also how blatantly thieving this company is knowing us as as parents have no other choice but to buy this sub-standard photography work if we want any kind of picture of our kids.

I am just glad I have the equipment and know how to scan and enlarge my sons photo to usable size and quality.

My Children are currently in Grade 5 at a public school in Melbourne. This is the second time you have stuffed up and not taken photos, then when i call for the second time in a day are offered to travel to the office to have the pics taken. (the studio is not close to home). NOT HAPPY....No Grade 5 pic of my son....

Photographer said to our child "Didn't your mum wash your face this morning?" Child responded with "My mum is dead"
Yes I get they don't know our situation but unless the photos are taken first thing in the morning then how can you expect a 7yr d boy to stay clean?
Next time maybe ask the child if they washed their face.

Seriously how are they allowed to do school photos. Their services don't deserve even one star. Disorganise, late, rude as well as zero quality for photos taken by them.Not recommended at all.

Three years in a row of utterly careless, overpriced rubbish. Encourage your school not to use these charlatans that do not have an ounce photographic capability. Utter hackery. God awful.
