The Magdalene Centre

The Anglicare Magdalene Centre is a fantastic resource for those in need. I was forced to leave work by WHS and started to claim Centrelink buy had to wait 2 months for my claim to be processed. I walked in to the site on 82 Gilbert st and they immediately offered me assistance with food and public transport. You're allowed 6 visits a year and they supply hampers worth up to $100 each visit. Bread, lots of meat, vegetables and essential pantry and toiletry items. You have to visit between 9am-10am for this to be possible. They have been a lifesaver for me.

Fantastic people and wonderful help for my daughter and I, who have been struggling a bit lately.

Super people doing the incredible for who need it. If you're finding your feet or just need a bit more with outreach services, this place is a great start to finding answers and help

The people here are lovely and are supportive and help point you in the right direction if you're young, homeless or just overall doing it tough and need help with food or whatever it is, they are willing to give good advice.

The Magdalene Centre was very very Helpful to Us considering we just had a Baby 6Weeks ago they Completely Filled up our Fridge and Gave us Loads of Vouchers for Food Hubs and We were even Given 2 Community 10trip Bus Tickets. So we left there Feeling very Greatful and would Definately Recommend there Help to Anybody in Need.

Absolute pleasure going there, they looked after my family and I very well today, thank you so much for your help to the staff at the Mary Magdalene Centre - 82 Gilbert Street, Adelaide, for anyone who is needing any type of help!! All in one great building.
