THE HUNGRY HIKER INDIAN & NEPALI RESTAURANT

Best Indian and Nepalese food I've had in Melbourne. We've been multiple times and everything has always been so good. Pictures of Katmandu on the walls. And the most lovely and attentive service. Recommend the chili lamb and dhal is heavenly.

Oh my God. This food is absolutely exquisite! I ordered it from Uber Eats and I was blown away. Truly exceptional food. Consider me a hiker hungry to explore more of the menu!!

Wow let me tell you this place is amazing. The service is fabulous and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the goat dishes. So yummy :) Everyone must try this place as it's got the best indian and Nepalese food!

An absolutely incredible dinner was had. One of the best restaurants I have eaten at in Melbourne! Couldn't recommend any higher, also, the head waiter was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable!

The 3 vegan options we chose were fabulous and there were lots more. so tasty and the portion sizes were big enough to have some leftovers. Reasonably priced too- a hidden gem!

Amazing food and service, waiter was great to deal with and greets you with a big smile. This is the local indian restuarant of choice for our family.

The pepper lamb dish is the favourite.

There were 6 of us and I have to say it's the best indian/ Nepalese restaurant I've been to. The food is normally too heavy for my stomach, however it was so flavoursome with its defined flavours in each fish. The service was fantastic and it wasn't crowded and noisy. Thank you

Fabulous find! This is my new favourite local as the food was simply fabulous, and the service even better. We shared a number of dishes, and I couldn't pick which I liked the most - truly they were all delicious. Great range on the menu too. Thanks for a great evening, we will be back!

Jan 2023 - Once again, it was a well presented, excellent tasty meal for four of us by friendly, attentive staff. It is our 'go to' Indian/Nepalese restaurant. We have never been disappointed, nor have our guests who later return on their own. Luckily for us it is just a five minute walk away. Recommended.

Just finished enjoying our first meal from The Hungry Hiker! We ordered over the phone and received great customer service, catering to our dietary requirements where possible and offering alternative dishes too!
On pick up the great service continued, with a pleasant hello and quick chat.
The food was humble and tasty, very fresh and honest food, leaving our bellies and faces happy.

Never previously experienced Nepalese food before and was brilliant.

Amazing food, so reasonably priced, we didn't go crazy ordering but we were absolutely stuffed and had a doggy bag each to take home still! Cute restaurant, lovely staff and very, very delicious 🤤

Second time dining here, it's walking distance from our house and the food is great! Meat dishes are so tender and the spices in the food are fantastic. The garlic naan bread is superb, so is the hikers bread and the garlic rice. The staff/owners are lovely and the restaurant is beautifully presented. I'm trying to get all my neighbours ti try this place out, it's a hidden gem.

Really lovely food. Portions a good size. Chicken momos stunning with a really punchy sauce. A variety of curry styles to choose from. Nice service and will definitely be back.
