White Village Greek Tavern

Absolutely amazing! We got the $48 per person banquet for 5 people. We were all totally stuffed and had leftovers, which is pretty rare nowadays I think. Everything was absolutely delicious, but to me the standout was the calamari and the lamb (tender, smoky and a little sour.) Will definitely be coming back. Thanks for accommodating our 97 year old grandfather and making his birthday so wonderful.

Costas is an amazing host and an equally amazing chef. Food was top notch and thanks for having me on such short notice/so late!

My partner & I attended tonight for the first time ever, and wow! Such a beautiful restaurant inside! very homey & comforting! The staff & customer service was gold standard. We got the $55 banquet for 2. The food… EXCELLENT! The food was literally amazing, very aromatic & everything cooked to perfection.. even the Greek coffee ! everything was of such a high standard, i will recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Definitely will be back, thank you.!

They hosted our group for dinner and we really enjoyed it. The local couple who run the restaurant were adorable and flexible. Wine prices very affordable ($33 for a full bottle). Thank you very much for making our group dinner a success!

Nice small restaurant in the heart of Elsternwick. Good selection of food and friendly staff.

What a beautiful and cosy place. Kosta was really friendly to us and our friends for the first time. The food was amazing and kosta was helful with foord and size recommendation. Will come back again soon.

Great resturant with the most lovely staff ever. Greater with a smile and ended with a dance.
The food was wonderful! My friends got the meat plate and were please as to how big and tasty it was. I had the fish and the potatoes served with it were something I've never had before. Truly mouth tantalizing.
The owner was a very sweet welcoming man that cooked our food himself. And after our meal he walked up dancing so I joined him to learn a little Greek dance. So much fun.

My fave restaurant in Glenhuntly Rd. Have been eating here for over 20 years. My kids have been eating here since they could walk. Costa is the owner he’s fun and just an awesome dude doing what he does best. The tarama and peppers, & saganaki are always amazing. We always have the blue eye as well. One of my fave greek salads as it’s filled with loads of dill and lemon juice. The banquet menu is great value. When we have visitors from overseas we always bring them here. Everyone loves it. It’s a pleasure to support such a hard working guy and his family. Food is exceptional & always friendly service. Highly recommend

We absolutely love the food here it’s consistently a 10/10! We get the banquet and everything is amazing my favourite is the fish! The service is great and the staff are always lovely!

How good is the food here? Mouth watering from dips to dessert. Great service, friendly staff who went out of their way to accommodate and take into account the post covid rules. I'll be going back, just try keeping me away.

Beautiful owners, beautiful food. After struggling to find a Greek tavern that is open for lunch on Sundays I got in contact with the lovely owners of White Village and they were beyond accommodating. Not only were they more than happy to open for our extended family group, but they were flexible with the menu and so helpful.The food was plentiful and packed full of flavour and I cannot recommend the restaurant more highly. Thank you again to White Tavern - our family, including the 60th birthday boy, were very impressed.

White Village has always been a favourite. We have been coming her for over 20yrs and Kostya and staff have always been so welcoming and go beyond to make people feel welcome. The food is always fabulous, fresh, authenticity Greek and always delicious. They accomodated 16 of us, a few hours before lockdown, when Melbourne Restaurants are suffering . Thank you Kostya and Debbie and staff for your hospitality and a beautiful night ❤
