Roberta Gottardo Psychologist

I have been treating with Roberta since 2016, she has helped me a lot to face many difficult moments in my life as well as following a path that has allowed me to grow and improve with her support.
She is a Professional who makes you feel comfortable immediately, sweet and understanding but direct and firm when needed, a very competent doctor.
Very professional both her and her assistant, her office is within a very quiet court, as it should be, always on time with courtesy messages to remind the appointments, otherwise I'd forget them all.
I know is not easy to find the right Psychologist and to establish a relationship of complete trust as I have with Roberta so I highly recommend her.

I first met Roberta in 2018 and I've been her patient ever since! I tried many other psychologists before her but nobody has ever made me feel so at ease.

Not only she extremely knowledgeable and professional but she has always made me feel safe, secure and supported.
She has been able to tailor therapies that have helped me overcome personal trauma and I will be forever grateful.

I've been seeing Roberta for a couple of years now and I couldn't recommend her more to someone going through a difficult period! Since the first emails and sessions, she has been extremely professional, understanding and empathic. She will build, session after session, a relationship of trust and comfort with her clients. She has been extremely helpful in understanding and overcoming some of my thoughts and actions and the way I see the outside world overall. I genuinely wish I have known her sooner!
She is also extremely organised, and lets you know in time if a paperwork is missing and I find the text message reminders of the appointments very helpful.

Roberta is definitely a Professional with the capital P. I cannot thank her enough for the support and the guidance I received from her in the last 6 years I have been seen her (on and off). Even when I moved to Darwin, she was able to adjust video sessions according to the time change between VIC and NT, my work schedule and hers as well. She demonstrate active listening, and ability to make connection that are hidden from me in order to ignite the self reflection process that is the key of a successful therapy, being responsible for the action take and change our thoughts in better and positive ones.
I have a post graduate in Psychology myself and I do appreciate even more her professionalism that I do not take for granted in this industry.

Roberta is the best psychologist I’ve seen, thanks to her I finally had a breakthrough and I’m starting to deal with my mum’s death, 10 years after it happened.
She’s understanding, uses different approaches based on the issue and she’s always helpful and available to accommodate my needs.

I wish I knew EMDR and Roberta earlier. They cancelled my appointment because I didn't reply to a courtesy text message stating the date and time of the appointment. I didn't get any notification of any cancelation, or that it was cancelled. Clearly they are disorganised and blaming patients for their own incompetence. Both psych and person at counter stared at me so hard and with such puzzlement when I came in, I honestly thought I walked into someone's private property. They had a look of confusion and fear in their eyes that one does when someone breaks into their home. Didn't help that the waiting room looks like a literal closet, and the walls are so thin you can hear the convo happening on the other side of the wall if you lean close to it. They didn't even ask if I wanted to reschedule my appointment, which you'd think a professional practice would attempt to do if there was a misunderstanding. The counter person just stared at me for a solid 5 minutes, not saying anything, until I left out of sheer awkwardness?? How am I even supposed to react to two people who can't even hold a civil conversation and just stare at you, not saying anything, let alone go to them for counselling???
