Gelatissimo Lygon St

Such a cute little ice cream shop located right in the middle of the busy lygon street. Was taking a stall and just found it coincidently and it was quite hot too so perfect for a nice gelato or cream. They have good varieties of options and it’s not too much and confusing. There’s dairy and dairy free options too. I love dairy but had to go for non dairy. The man serving me was very helpful and honest. I asked if the mile or dairy were pasteurised and he was upfront and honest about it not being pasteurised. Anyways, he gave me couple of things to try and I decided to go for the mango sorbet. Service was friendly and helpful,and the shop looked very clean and well presented. I loved the mango sorbet, it felt fresh and refreshing. Price was reasonable too. They don’t have seating indoor but looked like they had it outdoor seating. Anyways, who cares when we only care about ice cream.

The ice cream was amazing. I really love my cookie dough flavor, it's so creamy. I will definitely visit again.
Plus point: The owner (I think) is so kind. He also made us laugh with his jokes.

Me and my friend went as a birthday treat, and loved the amount of flavours they had. The owner was very kind and gave us a sample taste, we recommend the Salted Macadamia and Pistachio!

The NY cheesecake flavor is out of the world! The staff and his customer service is exceptional.

Visited this great gelato spot on Lygon during a work break from the office, I was quite taken back by the flavours on offer! So many mouth watering options I can see how it's become so popular over the years.

I settled on honeycomb and it was great, not overly sweet either, just the right balance. The staff member on the day was very friendly and accommodating to my picky colleague, offering taste tests and answering questions. A favourite on Lygon for sure.

Tried the choc mint and cookie dough gelato. They were top notch! Super creamy and delicious but the cookie dough was a little too sweet for me. But the best part was the staff!! There was only one guy working so he was really busy but nevertheless he was super nice and friendly to all customers.

If you were on Lygon St on Sat. 22.4.23 at about 2pm and you saw a guy with a pink mullet smiling too much and stiffling giggles a little too - that was me eating a Gelatissimo ice cream. I had the sugar-free chocolate sorbet. At only 497kJ per single scoop, it suited my current intake restrictions but OMG do those 497 sugar-free kJ pack a punch! The vibrancy of the chocolate had a velvet sheen. So delicious. Great service, decent prices. Btw, having kJ info on the labels is super cool.

Best experience so far in Carlton, the manager is so nice, every flavor was great, I got to try the Green Apple and Lemon Sorbet, highly rcm for someone who adore sourness, the manager even gave us a Kitkat.

GELATISSIMO GELATO, Carlton 📍popped into @gelatissimogelato just before lockdown to devour their new “around the world” flavour range. Their gelato is the perfect consistency and so creamy!! Love these new flavours because they have all the textures and toppings as well (including cheesecake bits and added Belgian chocolate 🍫 yum) My ultimate fave was the FILOPINO UBE CHEESECAKE 🇵🇭 🍰!!! SA GOOD. Good for a sunny day like today. The Hawaiian Tropical Coconut 🥥 was a close second!! 😋✅ Yummo 💚
