Definitely not your regular dry mala pot. They only do stir fry mala pot here, it’s gonna be real greasy but that is to be expected but what is interesting here is that the chinese doughnut(you tiao) , fish, lamb skewers and cuttlefish ball were fried till crispy. They were generous with their spice and I would highly recommend this place to spicy lover.
Also, it’s slightly more expensive than average but totally worth it!

What an amazing place for stir fried hot pot. Pick your own ingredients and flavour. We tried their house made cumin with a bit of spicy and it was so aromatic and just the right spice. The skewers had a slight sweetness to it and paired with some rice was perfect. Their salt and pepper tofu was a generous serving and lightly fried

The Melbourne cold is really something that we all need to brace with a brave heart and mind, but for that we need the right fuel to our appetite. @no1spicypot is where you can find the most comforting and spiciest meal that’s gonna make you sweat like crazy yet crave on it wildly.

Their speciality lies in spicy dry hotpot, the concept is same as regular hotpot only difference there’s no soup hotpot base, all the ingredients you pick and choose, you get them stir fried as a dry hotpot in one type of sauce only but with certain levels of spiciness.

And my friend, that sauce is the key to make these dry hotpot @no1spicypot very addictive, tasty like anything and even if you won’t be able to handle the crazy amount of heat, you would still wanna have another bite of it.

We also had kung pao chicken with steamed rice and prawns and pineapple fried rice. Both were equally delicious, very flavourful and amazing quality.

But I’d visit here this season only to feel some heat in my body with their insanely yummy, sumptuous, spicy dry hotpot. You can choose an array of ingredients for the hotpot from myriad seafood to fried chicken to red meat to skewers to handmade noodles, mushrooms and veggies.

And the best part the hotpot is very inexpensive and so are other dishes on their menu. Really pocket friendly and of great quality and oh my that quantity is enough to feed two people easily.

The staff and the owner are very friendly, welcoming and kind human and the service is really fast.

So why not head to @no1spicypot today for dinner with your friends/family to enjoy the mouthwatering dry hot pot in this typical Melbourne winter night.

👍🏻🔥

Delicious dry hotpot in an easy to miss location on A'Beckett Street.

🍝🍄

With a decent collection of meat, seafood, vegggies, etc., the star of the show is the way they're cooked, i.e. the hotpot. A minimum of 375 g is required (~minimum of $15). I selected some skewered beef, chicken with broccoli, cauliflower, shiitake mushrooms, prawns, quail eggs and glass noodles and paid $11.90 via EatClub for a total of $13. I loved the food, which I asked to ve made super spicy 🌶🌶🌶🌶🔥. It was perfect. They've some à la carte menu as well, that you can request for as well.
A second lunch soon followed!

Do try their à la carte menu. I had the Lamb Rice Spicy Pot ($14.10) and it was good!

The Kung Pao Chicken on Rice ($15.80) is a must try! It was great!

🧼🌅

The decorum of the restaurant is lovely, no loud music makes for a relaxing experience too. Tge staff are good.

😋✨

A no-nonsense, neat, delicious and quick hotpot place. A tip: try the lime water from the tap. It's good!

so delicious. Devoured. the youtiao in mala is a combination I didn't think would work but it was sooo good. Service was really great, my order took a bit longer than my friends but when it came there was extra crabsticks as an apology for the long wait 😭❤ the absolute sweetest service and the interior of the stall is really nice as well, 100% recommend

The food is cheap and also very delicious, the service is straightforward, its a small restaurant so the atmosphere is average and decent but worth ur money

My family and I loved the food and selecting our own ingredients. Beware that hot means 🔥, not soft, family food. I think the ingredients selection could use some better description for those unfamiliar, we had to guess our way around a fait bit. We will return when we can!

This is the best incense pot I've ever eaten. The service in the store is very good, the ingredients are fresh and the taste is very authentic. With such a high price/performance ratio, I don't know why this store is not popular.

If you’re looking for a really tasty Asian food, come here! The place is relatively hidden, but it’s actually close to the center of activities in Melbourne.
The workers seem hardly speaking English, but why bother if you’d get a real tasty food? You self pick your food choices and they’ll cook it for you. It’s a dry pot cooked and to me it’s worth more than every dollar spent.
