I visit it in last public open day. I was amazed with the collection. I hope they will move to better and bigger place they deserve it.. Everyone was friendly. I was lucky to see Leopard A1 before it was going to UK and I loved Strv 103 Swedish tank.

If you like military history , big vehicles with big guns or just to see what goes on in an active military base, this place is worth a visit. Only took 1.5 hours to drive up from Croydon through the beautiful Yarra valley . Friendly, helpful staff and very well presented displays.

In a word.... Fantastic! Well worth the cost of an admission ticket. Over 90 exhibits ranging from WW1 through to current engagements.
The Souvenir Shop is well worth a visit, excellent range of items all very reasonably priced.
To get onto the Base you will require Photo Identification.
The Staff were exceptionally helpful, professional and friendly.
Well deserving of its Five Star ⭐ rating.

Excellent, a wide variety of tanks on display and an interesting museum area.
I beleive it is also open on the last full weekend of each month, I went on a Sunday, Google does not note this.

One of the best places to visit. This tank museum definetly ranks as one of the greatest experiences I've had. Offering up to 80 different tanks and a variety of exhibitions from WWI to the Vietnam War and more.

This is definetly a must have experience and not to mention the scenery on the way there is breath taking.

Do your self a favour and visit the Puckapunal Tank Museum.

Large collection of armoured vehicles from WW1 tanks to Leopold 1AS4 tank and tanks from all over the world including USSR, other weaponry and accoutrements from WW1 to Afghanistan.
I didn't expect to see some of the weapons l  used when l just to be a infantyman in 5/7 RAR (Mech) Anit Armour platoon, brought back lot of good memories. Take time out of your day to see and support the museum, the museum run by dedicated friendly army veteran. I took my mate J Scheske with me and he had a good time at the museum.

I have to declare that I was the RSM of the Australian Armoured Corps. That said this musuem has some off the best examples of armoured fleets. Leopard variants, M113 variants, Centurion variants and the list goes on and on. The curator has and is doing a brilliant job. Do yourself a favour!

Visited on an open day where the ADF brought in some of the active AFV's that they use including the Abrams. It was a great day. Easily spent a few hours looking at the collection and talking to the Volunteers and ADF personnel. The Museum in its current position is a bit of a problem to access if you do not have a car and you cannot access it using public transport. Even though there are nearby bus stops on google maps the base security doesn't like people using them to get to the museum. I got lucky and managed to hitch a ride with a gentlemen who was also going though security who was heading to the museum. Leaving the museum was easier than getting in, a servicemen directed me to the bus stop and i got back to the railway station with no issue. Speaking to the staff and personnel I understand that the museum will be relocating soon to an area just off the base so I do not expect future visitors to have the same experience. What they have there is excellent and I hope their new facility further improves their outstanding museum.

Very interesting (and cheap). Great collection of armoured vehicles and other weaponry and accoutrements. Was manned by Graham, an army veteran who I think was a volunteer. Really nice bloke, very helpful and knowledgeable. This place is not well known but shouldn't be missed by anyone with an interest in military history.

Loved all the different tanks from all different times in history. It was a great spot to come down to if you're near Seymour and I highly recommend people to come here.
