We have been so happy with our experience at Gracie Barra Shellharbour since our son joined the kids class at the end of 2020. I have been consistently impressed with the professionalism of the staff and even more importantly, how welcoming and inclusive they are with the kids and their families.
The classes are a great mix of skill, exercise and FUN! So much so that my daughter couldn’t sit and watch any longer and HAD to join in the classes too!!

Professor Marcus is one of the most amazing humans and he treats every child with care and compassion and is such a wonderful teacher. Evelyn in the office is so welcoming and encouraging of all the kids and all the other coaches are fantastic and all work with the best interest of the kids at heart. If you are looking for a new sport for your child, if your child needs to feel like they belong or if they need help with their confidence then I cannot recommend Gracie Barra Shellharbour enough. My son is thriving under Professor Marcus and the team at GB Shellharbour.

I highly recommend Gracie Barra. We have had nothing but a positive experience with everyone at Gracie. From day 1, Evelyn, Prof. Marcus, Prof Thiago and all the team have always made us feel welcome. My children have learned so much in the short time we have been here, they have instilled the drive, discipline and community values that will help my kids as they grow. 100% cannot speak high enough of all the team.

We love BJJ at Gracie Barra. It's a great family oriented club. We've got all our kids + dad attending. (7yo, 10yo, 12yo, 14yo + dad!) And everyone loves it. The teachers/coaches are patient and its definitely a friendly vibe. Lots of the experienced guys always willing to teach what they know. Highly recommend whether for children or adults!

The coaches are all super patient and friendly. They keep the kids engaged for the whole session. Our child has asked to go 4 days a week because he just can't get enough.

I have been attending Gracie Barra Shellharbour for 5 months and am so happy I joined. The staff are incredible- Evelyn is warm and friendly and Marcus is a knowledgeable and patient teacher. More importantly Gracie Barra Shellharbour is like a family and I felt welcomed there from my first day. I am so happy to be learning Jiu Jitsu in such an amazing environment!

Fabulous gym - Coach Marcus is awesome and has has guided my daughter in a professional and friendly manner for two years. Every person involved in the gym is friendly, accepting of others and caring. Great place to train and be a part of. ✌🏻

The gym is great and Marcos is awesome. In just 5 months I am already impressed with what I learned. My wife also began to take classes and in 3 months already lost much weight. Now my 10-year-old son has entered the gym and is really enjoying himself. Keep up the good work, we need places like yours around here.

Warm and friendly atmosphere. By far the best place to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu! My kids and I love it. I highly recommend Gracie Barra Shellharbour to both children and adults. My son loves going so much two nights a week wasn't enough so now he goes four times a week, and rain and floods won't stop him. It's such a friendly and positive vibe there. It's great, highly recommended.

Marcus Lima is an inspiring teacher - so fast, technical & lethal. He has an amazing manner & brings out the best in everyone who trains with him. The gym is clean & the roller doors at the entrance mean the gym always smells fresh and has heaps of light. Anyone who says otherwise is delusional & welcome anytime on the mat where we will happily give you a first-hand lesson in tap, snap or nap.

This gym is an amazing place to train at. Marcus is one of the best coaches out and his Jiu Jitsu instruction is always clear and understandable. I feel way more competent in my abilities since beginning my training here at GB Shellharbour!

The team @ GB Shellharbour have been excellent, very family friendly, easy going - yet firm and exact in their teachings, very professional and skilled in their art. They are producing competition winners and these champs are also teaching us and our children. Fantastic curriculum. Highly impressed and are sharing our experiences with everyone we know. Top facility & mentality. The only place to be in the Illawarra.

The atmosphere and level of skill at GB Shellharbour is amazing! Coach Marcus and Coach Vanessa have created an amazing atmosphere to learn and have fun. I highly recommend this gym for anyone looking to train BJJ for fun or competition.

After joining the team a few months back with no previous juijitsu experience, I have found professor Marcus, Vanessa and the trainers approachable friendly and damn they know their stuff. They’ve done well creating an easy going environment that caters to all levels. Recommend 💯
