Fortunately my wife recommended Dr Beischer over another Surgeon and it was the best decision we made. He actually took the time to review my scans properly and acted on it straight away. Another Surgeon at Epworth I was initially referred to was going to leave it 24 hours, which would have potentially been too late and may have resulted in amputation. So whilst others on here have been critical of bedside manner and other minor things - who cares when you have the best actual Surgeon on the case!

A great result for my long term suffering of foot pain - considerate, compassionate and gave me options. Talked me out of surgery. Also a great support team for aftercare in Sally & Emma.
Highly recommend.

Dr Beischer treated and fixed the big toe on my right foot around 4 years ago. I recently had an issue in my left ankle requiring fusion of this joint. Dr Beischer has been nothing short of excellent delivering a fuss free operation so far. His approach is highly professional and he is a very personable chap. His receptionist Kylie is also very easy to deal with and organises everything with a smile, well done to you Andrew and all of your team. I would recommend your practice to anyone requiring lower leg surgery.

Over an 8 month period I have now successfully undergone the replacement of both left and right ankle joints, thanks to the expertise of a brilliant surgeon.
Unlike some of the negative comments posted, my experience has been positive in every manner.

I had both my feet operated on by Andrew Beischer. Cheilectomy procedures. As for a result I feel I received excellent care and would recommend him. He can be perceived as rushed or perhaps arrogant but ask yourself, would you prefer a friendly but less skilled surgeon or a more amiable surgeon with less skill? More importantly it’s been more than 5 years since the last one and I am all but pain free and feel that paying a premium for his services was worth it.

Dr Beischer repaired my ruptured Achilles 2 years ago. I found him extremely professional in every way. The surgery was done quickly, the post operative care was excellent. And my leg is as good as new. Could not recommend him more highly.

Dr Beischer treated me recently and I found him to be exceptionally knowledgeable and professional. Dr Beischer was able to diagnose my ankle condition immediately as bone marrow edema and set forth and treated me accordingly and effectively. I had suffered with terrible pain for many months until the help of Dr Beischer. I found Dr Beischer to be very down to earth and a lovely person. I would highly recommend Dr Beischer and am very grateful for his assistance. Also would like to thank Kylie McCredie who was always very helpful and accommodating with organising my appointments and paperwork. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Beischer.

Dr Beischer treated me for a fractured ankle years ago and did an amazing job. I have a plate and 5 pins that he put in and I have not had any lasting pain, lack of movement, or problems since the surgery. My radiologist even commented his amazement at Dr Beischer's work. As far as I'm concerned, his work speaks for itself. Thank you, Doctor.

Dr Andrew Beischer today is 12 mths since you operated on my ankle and i'm very greatful its going along fantastic doing exercise and walking everyday with my wife and dog. Its unbelievable the change to my life as before the op couldn't exercise or go walking with them. You were thoroughly professional in my eyes. You were very pleasant in your Blackburn rooms when you had a bit of time to chat and in the hospital a bit short but i understand that is when you are at your busiest. People should understand that. Instead of putting bad reviews. I'm recommending you highly to anyone i know that needs anything done to improve their quality of life. When i'm out walking with my wife and she asks how my ankle is going and i get emotional because its like new.

I'm shocked to see so many unsubstantial reviews of Dr Beischer and his rooms. My experience has been nothing short of excellent. I was referred to see Dr Beischer with an unusual and old pre-existing injury. After my initial and following subsequent consultation he proposed both surgical and non-surgical options. His recommendation was to pursue the non-surgical route - a surgeon to not recommend surgery!! I obviously can't comment on his surgery skills, but he answered all of my questions as directly as possible. Highly recommend Dr Beischer to anyone needing a referral to a foot surgeon.

Andrew Beischer is a Brilliant medical professional. Anyone who performs procedures and operations with such precision and skill needs to be applauded and not berated as some have done on Google.
Are some people serious? You are paying to get the best medical advice , the latest techniques in pain management and recovery as well as the premium knowledge in a specialised field.

Extremely happy with bunion surgery. Unfortunately hammer toe disastrous, “sausage toe” becomes more painful every year..

I have no doubt about Beischer's qualifications and skills but $220 for a 5 minute appointment in which he expressed a casual disregard for my issue made me feel short changed. I paid $150 for a second opinion from an equivalent (in fact, more qualified) specialist (Mr Arshad Barmare) who spent 30 minutes with me to make a much more detailed diagnosis.

I sprained my ankle and saw Andrew for treatments. Despite 5 consultations and 3 MRI scans over 5 months. Andrew was negligent and did not pay attention to worsening signs of inflammation, nor did he advise to take anti- inflammatory medication. As a result, the small fracture in my cartilage started to degenerate, exposing the bone under neath it. I sought a second opinion and was advised to have surgery asap to prevent further cartilage loss. Andrew was always rushed, charged a lot of money for 10 min consultations. Would not recommend him at all.

Terrible experience. Arrogant, rushed, no bedside manner. Chargerd $220 for 10min consultation and wrote me a referral for MRI AND GOT THE FOOT WRONG! . He was not Willing to discuss my concerns or offer advice. Would not recommend.

Arrogant, overbearing, dismissive of women particularly, he was unable to see a clear lisfrancs injury and his care of my foot was appalling to the point of negligence.

This surgeon is more willing to slice and dice than listen. Has caused permanent damage as a result. I do not recommend.

He was extremely rude and very unprofessional, I would never recommend this so doctor to anyone!!!!
