Chianti

All dishes were balanced and rich in flavour! Standouts were the crab casarecce nero and lamb ragu pasta - both cooked to Al dente perfection! The Monte Carlo ice cream "sandwich" was just so delightful too; rhubarb sauce was perfect to cut through the sweetness. The grapefruit and Hugo spritz were a perfect way to cleanse the palate! Amazing food guys! Definitely recommend.

Excellent food, excellent service.
We were in a hurry because of a booking for a show. The staff were very helpful suggesting food that would be available quickly and ensuring everything was served on time. We had the risotto special with lobster and the fish dish with three types of fish, and finished the meal with a chocolate and cherry ice-cream dessert. All three dishes exceeded our expectations and were excellent. The wine list was also quite good, with a good range of wines at various price points.
Highly recommended.

I will start with the bad point, which was only one and not related to the food.

Booking: When booking, there was an option to select any special occasion. I selected “anniversary” and explained that it would be our 5th year marriage anniversary celebration at Chianti. However, when getting there, there was absolutely nothing extra (flowers, champagne, or a special cake). I would gladly pay for any extra service, but why put an option in the booking if you are not doing anything different for the guests regardless if there is a special occasion or not?

Staff: extremely friendly and always asking if the food was good or if we needed anything else. Enough to make us feel cared about, but at the same time not too much to annoy us. I was more than happy to tip him 10% for the exceptional service. My glass was always full, so that’s a plus.

Food: the quantity was just enough to satisfy me, but not enough to feel completely full. In my point of view, it is the perfect amount. Ingredients and quality are beyond words. Everything we ordered was perfectly cooked. There was nothing that we felt like “meh or could have been better”.

Service: 10 points just for having a sharpened knife. I’ve been to places where the knife could not even cut butter… also, the timing between plates was perfect. Not to soon so we could appreciate the food we just ate between plates, but not too long either to make us feel impatient.

Value: it is not cheap if you considered amount of food VS price. However the quality of the food and the friendly staff makes you feel that it was worth every single cent.

Overall, it is a great Italian cuisine choice. Would definitely recommend for a romantic dinner or for business

My friends and I were sitting outside because I had my dog. Even if wasn’t an hot day, was good enough to stay outside thanks to the nice fence. Drinks were good balanced and the dinner was delightful. The service was accurate and fast.

My husband & I visited ❤ Chianti wedding for our 52nd Wedding ceremony.
The meal and ambience were second to none.
I had the Angus Beef 300g & my husband the Coorong Mullet.
Both delicious 😋 and well priced.
Maria who runs the front house greets every one personally, like an old friend.
Her staff are experienced and help with any query.
Even though there was a Camera Crew in attendance they were non intrusive and made for a different experience.
Thank you for such a wonderful meal.
In Europe they would be rewarded with the top Michelin Hats.

I will be recommending the Chianti to my family & friends.

Words can not describe how brilliant the food is and how amazing the service is. Such clean, fresh, aromatic, flavours with so much depth and surprisingly punchy too. Extensive wine list. Cocktails were great specially the limoncello spritz, the desert Sofa beer ‘digestive’ was unlike anything I have ever tried. Nick and the Italian with the fleshy were simply amazing. All the staff were great.
The restaurant presentation is perfect and kitchen was immaculate. Chefs and kitchen staff are unsung geniuses.

Chianti is an Adelaide institution because it delivers great Italian food regularly, the staff are always amazing and the venue is really comfortable. They don't usually open on Sundays but they had a brunch day with $55 multi course brunch with the option of bottomless cocktails for 90 minutes. I opted for a couple of Bloody Mary's and they were delicious. The food was, as expected, delicious. Keep an eye out if they do it again.

One of the best gastronomic experiences I have ever enjoyed. The food was excellent, but even better was the professional service from both the host and the waitress (Michela), we will probably go to Chianti for dinner again. Thank you very much Chianti restaurant and all its staff, love it.

Immaculate everytime, wish i could eat there every night. Professional, precise, ticks all the boxes to a fussy eater, service, and venue. Must try Polenta chips are insane!!...Sorry menu has changed but can highly recommend the beef carpaccio, oysters and lamb rump- divine along with the great educated in hospitality staff. Keep up the great work. We'll keep coming back.

We had a 4 course feed me for 8 people. The food was great and very generous servings. Service was a bit casual. We sat inside and it was loud, very loud.

We went here for my birthday dinner. And it was A-MAH-ZING!

The stand out of the dishes is the pasta with prosciutto and duck yolk, then finish it with the Burnt Lemon Cheesecake.

Would I go back here... I hope so. A bit on the pricey side, but somewhere I would suggest people try.

This is by far the best Italian restaurant in Adelaide. Chianti lead by Maria is amazing, on service, food and wine list. We have celebrated many milestone birthdays at Chianti and loved it every time. Not cheap, but worth every $ and more! Could not fault the food, service and outstanding enjoyment from visiting this restaurant....
