Mission Beach Retreat

Great location and a good stop on my back to Cairns. It's super close to the beach and there are a few bars and cafes around. I arrived late, gave the hostel a ring before and the manager was super nice and friendly. He prepared my room key and left it in an envelope at the reception!

Loved this hostel booked 3 nights for a chill couple of days after cairns and it was amazing. Steph was so lovely and a great asset to the company, the rooms were tidy and clean definitely recommend for a stop over on your travels.

Steven is a great host, retreat is clean and very homey. Comfortable places to chill, pool is nice.

Amazing little hostel!! Had a super friendly welcome when we arrived by the guy on reception - the hostel has a really lovely chill space, dining area and kitchen as well as a separate TV room, and was super easy to meet and talk to people as it's a relatively small hostel. The beds were super comfortable, everywhere was super clean and they give you TWO PILLOWS! Cannot stress what a luxury that was to find in a hostel!! Overall had a really lovely stay here, thanks guys!!

Mission Beach Retreat is an awesome hostel. By far the cleanest hostel I've been at in my time as a traveller. It's kind of small (40 beds) so you get to know everyone while you stay there. The staff and the work for accommodation people are kind and happy makes you feel like home.

Our stay in retreat was amazing. We were there for 1 week and it was just outstanding because the beach is at 1 min walk, the pub is at 2 mins walk and there is so much to see around. The manager had everything sorted for us and was really helpful. Its very clean and small and very cozy environment. Everything together surely definitely a 5star.

Our time spent at Mission Beach Retreat was awesome! From the moment we arrived we felt so relaxed and at ease. The staff are excellent and recommended heaps of local places to visit and the room was clean and comfy and because it was the summer we had it all to ourselves. Mission beach is such a chill place and it was so nice to come back to an airconned room. Would highly recommend this backpackers and Mission beach to anyone travelling through :)

When we got to Mission Beach this place helped us get a job at a bananfarm. We had some crazy nights at this place in the 74 days we were here. So close to the beach, pool and everything. All you ever needed. Once a week you could borrow a minivan and drive away on a day trip. Best place to stay in Mission Beach! // Knights of the round table // 300-Heavy Horses

Stayed for one night and wish I could have stayed longer. A nice chilled hostel and the staff are all so friendly. Less than a minute walk from the beach and restaurants/bars. Would highly recommend.
