Cafe Serenade

Great little cafe in a small town on a crazy rainy Saturday. The customer service was exceptional. It was warm and the staff were very helpful with our wet gear. (We were riding motorbikes). The food was home cooked and wholesome comfort food on a super cold day. There is not a huge amount of tables and chairs but it made for a great way to engage and chat with other travelers. Highly recommend this cafe if you are in town.

This place is worth a visit. We had an amazing Scallop pie ! Turns out it’s homemade onsite by the owner of the place with 47 yrs experience working in a kitchen . We were blown away. Don’t let the simple decor stop you from trying the best pies in Tasmania

Great little cafe in the main street. It was also one of the only places actually open. They had a nice range of food and beverage options. Most,if not all, were made by the store themselves. The pies were excellent, the toasties were great and focaccia was also excellent. We didn't try any pastries but the range looked excellent. Also pleased to say that they stocked a wide range of Tasmanian drinks

Loved looking at all the art and nick-nacks. I was so happy to see they had Dirty Chais on the menu - fantastic.
Even though the one staff member was smashed with coffee orders when we arrived she was still able to do it with a smile and we didn’t wait long at all. Chef had the food done quick too!

Had a fantastic lunch, the salmon eggs Benedict is huge and so tasty as is the beef burger. The coffee is better than I've had in the fancy Melbourne cafes. Personal, friendly service. If you are in Queenstown or passing through and in need of a good feed then Cafe Serenade is the place to go

Good coffee and awesome pies. Didn't expect anything like it. Freshly made curried scallop pies are unreal, we also tried beef stout pie and it was great . Beef was nicely diced -notinced and didn't have any fatty bits.

Lunch was great. We had the soup of the day Lamb shank & lentils and the Angus Beef burger with chips. Everything homemade and tasty, even the chips. One of the best soup ever and for a cheap price, wasn't expecting that. Friendly staff.

the Rosted Chicken and the Smoked Salmon are pretty good options for lunch, nice portion and very tasty. The place is very welcoming for tourists and clean

Stopped in bought a curry scallop pie owner said he made it fresh this morning and they were good pies not wrong best pie ive ever had and ive had a few perth needs a curry scallop pie like this i would eat them every day thanks old fella made my trip so far

By far the best breakfast in town! Run by very friendly people and with the added bonus of a great music selection. Totally worth the short walk up from the train station!

The pies are the very, very best. Chunky and not hard to eat. Big size. $8.50 each
