BIG4 Kelso Sands Holiday & Native Wildlife Park

Peaceful, spacious park. Wonderful for the kids with a lovely pool, playground and lots of space to run around. We enjoyed the weekend with family who brought their van while we stayed in a little Cabin. Barbara was thoughtful in putting us both close to each other. Very relaxing few days.

Very helpful and accommodating staff. Kids loved the pool which was spotless and a perfect temperature. Our cabin was neat and tidy with everything we needed. Great place to stay with kids.

We had a great 5 night stay at this lovely park. Barbara was extremely friendly and the park quiet with a great toilet and shower block.
Potaroos and birds come to visit and it's not too far from great places to explore, Beauty Point, Greens Beach, Beaconsfield and other great spots

We had a wonderful 6 day stay at Kelso. This is our second visit, we think it will become a yearly pilgrimage! The park is lovely with lots of entertainment for the kids.
We spent so much time at the pool!
We loved the piped music in the common areas it was a great touch.

My partner and I camped 2 nights over Easter at an unpowered site. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot at a busy time! Amenities were a little dated but always clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had heaps of space and it was nice and quiet at night. Couldn’t have asked for a better Easter stay!

We made the drive out to this beautiful park after disembarking the spirit of Tasmania. We had a wonderful greeting by Barbara who was welcoming, friendly and very informative of the area. Met bob while we enjoyed the pool and had some lovely chats with them during our stay as well. They genuinely make the park amazing by doing what they can for you to have a wonderful stay. We’ll be back before we leave Tassie.
Amenities are kept clean, well equipped camp kitchen and a wonderful pool to enjoy as well as great walks to the beach / river and a playground for the younger kiddies. Lots of wallabies and native hens (we had to google what they were 😂)

The Kelso sands park is just great. Secluded and peaceful. Beautiful setting with lovely, really well maintained grounds. Amenities are spotless. Close to the beach. I couldn’t fault it! Also Barbara is friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay! Thankyou

We had an absolutely amazing time! Peaceful, oraganised, imacculate ammenities and above all a very relaxing atmosphere. This park is a must go to destination. Definately be back soon :)

We visited the Kelso caravan park for the March longweek. What a beautiful spot. It was our first time. We camped amongst the trees on beautiful lawned area. I was greeted warmly by Barbara on arrival and given the information required about the park. The amenities (although older) we immaculately cleaned and very good. The camp kitchen was amazing and very clean. Very peaceful and serene spot to stay. A short walk to the beach with swans on the river, boats cruising up and down and other birds. Possums visited at night and lots of pottaroos. Didn't see any wombats but hopefully next time. A very well run park. We'll definitely visit again.

Lovely clean quiet park with lot’s of open spaces for the kid’s. Central to a lot of local attractions, walks and beaches. The grounds and facilities are immaculate. Barbara and Bob are very friendly and helpful.
We stayed for 5 nights and would definitely stay here again.

We've stayed here twice this year now and love it. Plenty of space on each site. Kids love it with plenty to do. Lovely owner!! She gave extra time on the go-carts and even gave kids an icecream when they returned them. Peaceful and clean 🙂

Great little camp ground off the beaten track. Good access for bigger vans (19ft) with plenty of grass for the kids to run on. A bit windy (but where isn't) and the beach is a nice walk. Very relaxed. Be mindful there's no dump facilities (have to go back to Beaconsfield)

What a nice park. So spacious. Great check in service by management. Amenities were very clean. Some varied wildlife around the park as well.

Absolutely loved this place as a child myself, and was such a delight to visit again with my own children!! Barbara is so warm and welcoming and goes above and beyond for visitors. We stayed in a cabin that was spotless and extremely comfortable, could not fault a single thing! Look forward to our next visit 😊

We where alittle wary given some of the reviews but thought we'd give Kelso a try anyway. Glad we did! We found the hosts to be very friendly, facilities where great and everything was very clean. Our daughter loved the open play spaces, playground and playing with the other children in the park.

Alittle disappointed the pool was closed but understandable given the circumstances around covid-19, Greens Beach is a 5min drive away and great for a swim.

Yet another fantastic trip to Kelso!! This has to be one of the best camping spots in Tasmania. The pool is great on a hot day and the powered sites are big, flat and grassy!! Barbara is a pleasure to deal with and aims to please. We will be returning for sure!!

We have been coming to Kelso Big 4 for many years and always enjoy our time here. Our kids love the freedom and space to explore and make friends that they re connect with every holiday time. Barb and Bob ensure the park is always impeccably maintained and is always a safe place for the kids which makes it easier for parents to relax and unwind.
