One of the best decisions my fiance' and I could have made during our wedding planning process was booking Kath Scott Photography. Kath is one of the most humble, approachable and beautiful souled people you will ever likely meet. Her work is absolutely brilliant and will just take your breath away. Out of all the wedding photographers Kath shone through the brightest. We have just recently received our engagement photos and everytime we look at them we are just astounded by how wonderfully Kath has portrayed our personalities, happiness and love for each other. We couldn't have imagined better shots! They were everything and more and it has made us even more excited for our wedding day.

Kath has taken the time to get to know us personally and she is not just our wedding photographer now but also our friend. Kath Scott Photography, what can I say, couldn’t have been more perfect for our wedding day last October. With 6 weeks until the big day we learnt that our friend was unable to photograph our wedding, so back onto google I got and began searching wedding photographers. I came across a site for an upcoming vintage wedding fair where loads of photographers would be. I sent email enquiries to a lot of photographers and overall Kath stood out for me. She was warm and friendly and genuine and fun loving in her reply. I went to the wedding fair for the sole reason of meeting Kath. Immediately I felt at home with Kath. She got me, she got the type of photographic art we were after for our wedding day. The decision was so simple, it was a big YES!
On the day, Kath (and her helpful husband Matt who has the biggest smile in the world), was not only our wedding photographer, but she quickly took on the role of ‘last minute wedding coordinator’, bringing me water, keeping people out of my room in the final minutes, liaising with the celebrant, all the while taking the most incredible and real and candid photo’s. Her relaxed style and easy going personality meant she fitted in as a guest and not someone we hardly knew. Grant and I never felt the camera in our face. Kath felt like a friend within a few moments.
Kath Scott photography is the real deal. The prices are very fair and the outcome is truly awesome. We had our photobook (as part of the package) delivered on Christmas Eve, the BEST Christmas present ever! It tells a story that will last a lifetime and the quality is first class. Kath is a fantastic communicator and responds to emails and calls often on the same day. Kath goes beyond the call of duty - she even compiled and coordinated the publication of our wedding on a well-known wedding blog!
Kath’s photo’s have the uncanny ability to dig right into people’s hearts and tug at those strings until a little tear rolls down your cheek. Each frame tells a story of a thousand words. I knew I could trust Kath to capture those ‘special’ moments and all of the tiny detail that as the busy bride I missed out on seeing on the day. Kath (and Matt) are the easiest couple to work with in the world and I cannot wait to visit their beautiful home at Esk for our family portrait session!

know you and your family and finds out what you love about eachother. She then captures that in her photos. I absolutely love my photos of my family and I. Something I will always treasure..

When we started looking for a wedding photographer, we were looking for somebody who would give us a genuine and heartfelt representation of the day, as well as somebody who could be relied upon on during what would be a pretty stressful time.
We interviewed quite a few photographers, but something always felt “off”. But from the moment we sat down with Kath – who travelled for an hour to meet us halfway – we felt something had clicked. Instead of talking about herself and her work, she listened to what we wanted from the photos and made sure that she was a good fit for us.
She offered an engagement shoot for us to help us feel at home with her behind the camera, which ended up being a great experience. She also sat down with us and timetabled the big day and it always felt like she was totally on top of everything that was going on.
On the wedding day she came early and scouted an amazing location for our bridal party shoot which was totally in line with what we were after, called ahead with the property owner and lined it all up without us having to lift a finger. The entire thing ran like clockwork and it didn’t feel like it would be possible with someone less experienced at the helm.
When it came to organising books and digital copies she went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the final product, and what we ended up with was of high quality and we feel is an awesome representation of the day.
And while nobody likes to talk dollars it’s definitely a consideration and she was, in our opinion, incredible value for money, offering far more than others at the same price point, but it’s also hard to put a dollar figure on the difference she made on the biggest day of our life.
