Esk Grand Hotel

The Grand Hotel at Esk is an absolute treasure! From the moment we arrived, our expectations were not just met—they were blown away. The accommodation was spotless and incredibly comfortable, providing the perfect retreat. The culinary delights were nothing short of spectacular—I've never tasted a steak as divine as the one here in a long time and such a great price. The lively atmosphere of the locals and visitors added a special touch to our experience.

The staff were beyond amazing, with Niki and Brendan standing out for their exceptional efficiency and friendliness. A special shoutout to the owner, Joe, who made us feel extraordinarily welcome. Thank you for an unforgettable stay. This place is an absolute gem—I can't recommend it highly enough!

Popped in for lunch on the way back from the in-laws at Hampton on Easter Sunday.

I know it's not pleasant working on a public holiday from experience.

The ladies behind the bar were all flat out but worked so efficiently, quickly, with smiles all round and friendly demeanor. Your staff put to shame many establishments in larger towns/cities. I cannot congratulate you enough on how good the experience was, including a great meal.

We drove from Brisbane to get out of town for a real country lunch. We had the flame grilled steak burger. It was awesome. Staff were lovely, attentive & efficient.

Amazing food! I had the parmi while my partner had the beef Guinness pie and it did not disappoint. A friendly pub in a small town, clean, well maintained and friendly locals and service. Refreshing to visit a pub without pokies.

Just a 4 min walk from the caravan park. Very impressed and will be back :)

The service from the minute we walked in was exceptional. The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff friendly and efficient.
The food was excellent, large portions, fresh , tasty and well priced.
Didn't stay the night but wouldn't hesitate to do so.

We had a delish meal. Kids cheese burger is seriously soo good! I was envious of my 2 year olds meal. The meat patty was so flavourful (thanks for not skimping on it). Chicken Parmigiana original and spicy was delish! Decent serving size! Very pleasant staff. Family friendly👌

What a gem! Lovely beer garden. Outstanding food. An interesting menu that more than delivers on its description. I'll take a detour just to eat here from now on.

We stopped in here for lunch today, the service was lovely. Joe is a credit to this place. Couldn’t be more accommodating. Food was great and came out pretty quickly. Dogs allowed out the back, even a closed off area for them to run around. Great spot

I travelled to Esk on horseback with 2 horses and was staying at the Esk Showgrounds. When some beaurocratic and adminastrative breakdowns occured with the showgrounds, Jo at the Esk Grand Hotel went above and beyond to fill the gap to help me and Jo and all his very competent, helpful, friendly staff were more than welcoming and accomodating. Great food. Great location. Great people. Please support this excellwnt business.

We are regulars at The Grand Hotel, their Thursday Parma nights are our favourite. Great food, great service and all the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Great selection of meals and wait times are never long.
Only wish the smokers area was further away because eating dinner and smelling second hand smoke is not enjoyable. Other than that it's fantastic!!

Had the Shepherd's Pie for lunch today at the Grand- clean forgot Country Towns cook BIG meals.. couldn't finish it.. so make sure you didn't have breakfast this morning!

Classic country pub on a Saturday night! Lots of happy, helpful staff: nothing's too much trouble, and conversations usually ended with "darlin'".
The rump steak comes with a warning - it's thick - perfect for rare, which was asked for, and how it came!
The rooms (toilets and showers at the end of the corridor) reminded me of the pubs I stayed in around NSW during my apprenticeship- in the '60s - but they are clean and the mattress was nice and firm.

Went for a good old country pub meal and was presented with the best selection of gourmet tucker ive had for a long time.

Meals were great, and the atmosphere was great. Excellent beer gardens with parking at rear!
