Goldfields Van Park

We came from the Tablelands for the annual Georgetown Golf Open and spent the week at the Goldfields Caravan Park. It was a great choice, as the hosts, Denise and Greg, went out of their way to ensure everyone's needs were taken care of - and with a smile. The ablutions block and camp kitchen/laundry were better than we expected and very clean. We will be back!

The campsite was absolutely fantastic! The toilets, showers and kitchen were cleaner than hostels/hotels we have previously stayed at. We also had a little mishap with our rooftop tent. Thankfully, we met the amazing Denise and Greg, who went above and beyond to fix it for us. They were incredibly friendly and made sure our tent was safe and fixed up before leaving so that we could continue our trip. I can't recommend this campsite and these wonderful people enough! They made our trip so much better! 🌟😊

Super friendly from the beginning... to giving us a friendly wave as we left. Lovely shady sites and beautifully clean amenities. 👌🏽

Well maintained place. Friendly staff, always willing to help you beyond the normal stuff. Convenient place near to the general store and nice salt water swimming pool.

What a wonderful stopover in Georgetown. Staff were so friendly even to the point of having a campfire for all the guests to enjoy. Amenities were superb the best we had encountered in a long time of travelling. Our 2 🐈 😻 🐈‍⬛ also loved it.

Great value accommodation - prices for cabins and rooms are among the cheapest you'll find in the Gulf but they all come with nice furniture, well appointed kitchenettes, and are spotlessly clean. Not to mention that the owners are very friendly and helpful. An easy overnight stop for travellers passing through.

Lovely rustic park in walking distance to all the town locations. In a quiet location with large sites under shady trees. Google has Georgetown in wrong location but it’s easy to find as we drove through it on our way to Cobbold Gorge. Fantastic butcher in town!

What a great park. Managers Kelly and Ian are great. Great local knowledge and recommendations of what to do around Georgetown. The park is so well maintained. Pretty much every site has shade which is so nice. 100m walk to the main street. The amenities were lovely, clean and very modern. We stayed 2 nights but could have stayed more. A great base for a couple of days as there’s lots to see. Highly recommend a day trip from Georgetown to Cobbold George. We’ll worth the money. Make sure you book tickets (thank you Kelly)

Small park with many mature trees and shaded spaces. Relaxed owners for us passers by with no booking. The big surprise was the absolutely gorgeous toilet/shower block. Built as a huge barn, with plenty of facilities, all spotless and brand new, we only stayed one night, but wish it was more. Congratulations on showcasing a wonderful park.

Great manager only to happy to help out! $20 unpowered $30 powered, new bathroom toilets showers, absolutely gorgeous, no issues with hot showers here, not too noisy

We stayed for 6 nights at this caravan park. Before we arrived my husband had hurt his back badly and was incapable of lifting. Jason, the on site Manager, came to the site we were assigned, assisted us backing in then stayed to ensure we were comfortable for the night. He helped back the car out of the trailer assisted lifting a collapsible trailer axle Continually throughout our stay checked in to ensure we were OK. The day before departure he again assisted with the Jimny and trailer axle. Thank you Jason for going the extra mile and as well as your generosity. We would have no hesitation in recommending this caravan park to any travellers who are wanting to check out the area.

We had a van site so the 5 Stars are for the amenities the grounds the shaded powered van sites the value for money being price for site only not additional fee for extra people the town is beautiful and welcoming and last but not least the staff are incredible Jason,Mal and Ang do the park and the town proud would come again.😎

This Place is Awesome. It's so Peaceful, and great Vanners. We loved it.
The Staff, owners etc, are the Best we have encountered in our travels in Nth Qld.
They make the stay so memorable, it's so clean, and so we'll serviced, we would stay there first every time in Georgetown Qld.
So easy and accessible to every amenity.
The Local Butchers , Veggie Store, and Other Traders are so helpful, and courteous.
We loved Georgetown, our Camping partners were real people, they make you fit in.

This is a Lovely Campground :) The Managers Peter & Sue are the most lovely & helpful hosts. We stayed in a cabin & they were very nice & clean. They also had a very comfy bed :) the new toilet blocks are great ! loved them........ Peter & Sue also have the coolest dog named Jack.....He is much loved by everyone. :)

Great park. Ian and Kelly go out of their way to make you welcome. Amenities block clean with plenty of hot water. Would recommend the park to Fellow caravanners . Plenty of shade and Happy hour lets you mingle with fellow travellers.

Great Caravan Park, nice shady trees and amenities clean and roomy. Above all Jason the manager is very friendly and helpful. The park is very well managed and I would definitely recommend the park when staying in Georgetown

You guys don’t charge anywhere near enough for your cabins, 70 a night is ridiculous! 120-150 a night is more than reasonable for your clean spacious well appointed comfortable rooms, I paid twice what I paid at your park further out west for Wolf Creek style accommodation!

Lovely park with very nice amenities. Caretakers were minding the park while we were there & could not have done more for us. Council pool is available if one so desires to take a dip. Will certainly stay again if in the area. Good value but no eftpos or credit available so have cash.

Fantastic caravan park with new, modern amenities. There is lots of shade and it is very quiet. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Great place to stay, especially for bird watchers.

This is a really well looked after van park. Nice big trees to park under. Toilets are very nice and clean. Management extremely welcoming and friendly. Also very affordable. We will becoming back again. :)
