Very nice park, and I had a nice walk.
The view is nice, and there’s a nice spot with sand.
I think it may only have one restroom, but it was still a nice walk, so make sure to go to the bathroom before you walk.

The national park is well maintained and clean. The router is easy for family and kids to walk. However,. The Creek is dry and the water falls is not even there.

Camp site was pretty flat with 13 sites, book out quickly! Clean grounds with rubbish facilities, toilets and built in camp stove.
Hike was easy and a great way to start the day.

This is a well-marked park with numerous hiking trails. It features a new drop toilet, tables and chairs for picnics, and a limited number of parking slots.
Its not the usual scenic parks I'm used to seeing but its still worth the hike and close to our camping site (Lake Cressbrook).

PS. The waterfall is dry when we visit. So the lookout is not that great of a view

Excellent place for hiking. Loop walk is around 3/4 kms, medium grade track bit of up and down with stairs. Take swim clothes if you love swimming in pools. Narrow tracks with gravel. Keep water bottles with you. Car park is good with sitting area and toilets.

Best place for hiking and to see the natural scenery. BBQ, public toilets are available in national park with proper car park. The lookout point is mesmerising. The proper place where you can even take your children. Recommend to all the people to go in a group as it will be more fun. Hike with nature.

PHOTOGRAPHY OPPORTUNITIES
The national park tracks and stairs are well maintained and signed.

THE ROCK POOL / FALLS LOOP
I took this track as I wanted to check out all the Crows Nest Rock Pools, water falls and lookout.

THE CASCADES
A lovely easy walk without too many steps. The running water was just gorgeous. The signs warned of deep crevices and slippery rocks. I decided to just stay on the bank and not cross.

KAUYOO POOL
I climbed and followed to the right of the actual rock pool, following the sound of rushing water smashing against the rocks to find a fantastic small waterfall on a sandy beach.

Tiny finches hopped amongst the bushes. It appears most walkers have no idea what's only 700 meters to the right of the track?

BOTTLEBRUSH POOL
Be prepared for over 200 steps to reach the pool area below. While the yellow wattle flowering above the pool area was "pretty", I think I missed what was so special about this rock pool area?

Half way up/down a seat is provided for older ones to rest and catch their breath.
Unless you particularly want to see a body of water in a Canyon.....save yourself the climb up if you have weak ankles or sore knees.

CROWS NEST FALLS
There is a sign warning you about a young man called "Kyle" who fell to his death and telling you to remain at the lookout area.

Positives
The rock formation is interesting
The loud sound of the water fall impressive.

Negative
The lookout is obstructed by trees and vegetation. At least make viewing and photography more attractive.

KOONIN LOOKOUT
If you are in need of 2.1 kms of additional walking & have a drone to fly, then go for the walk. Otherwise, save yourself the trouble. It's a simple lookout with a larger view of the landscape..... nothing spectacular.

OVERALL
The tracks are full of birdlife, wildlife, flowers and large gums. Certainly a beautiful walk.

TIP
Skip breakfast and do the walk on daybreak. The birdlife is amazing and the photography less the people. Dawn also makes amazing shadows and softness.
You feel like you have the entire track to yourself.

Very well managed track with heaps of steps on the steep sections. You could go there for a quick dip in the one of many pools along the way or to have a 2 hr return hike to the top for a beautiful view of the waterfall.
Heaps of BBQs and camping grounds, seats at the parking and also toilets.
Could be a perfect destination to bring kids over or to have a picnic after a short hike.

Another great park, a couple of walks. But you can do the lot in a couple of hours (approx 5klm?).
Camp ground is great but narrow tracks on might challenge big vans? Book online.

I did the walk to Bottle Brush Pools not long after rain. It was a really pretty walk. I had fun tip-toeing over a fallen tree to cross a creek at the start of the walk. The walk was peppered with beautiful blue gums. Bottle Brush Pools was beautiful. It was so peaceful and serene and I was the only there. It was hot so I went for a refreshing swim with a currawong and a beautiful sacred kingfisher for company. I enjoyed the walk and the lovely Koonin view at Koonin Lookout before heading back. It was a delightful, easy walk that took just over 2 hours.

Nice place to stay
Toilets were fairly clean and didn’t smell
Good fire pits at every site
The entry road is a little tight but doable with caravan or motor home
The walking tracks are well marked

A spectacular gorge and lookouts over this rocky and scenic creek bed. Campground there lacks showers but does have fireplaces. The road in to the day use area is excellent for conventional vehicles. Nice picnic area and gas barbecues in the day use area as well as toilet facilities.

Clean quiet camping area, well maintained. Short easy walks nearby. Bring own firewood to heat water for showers in donkey boiler.

Stayed 2 nights and then extended for two more.
Great walking trails along the river. Some nice bike rides along the bush tracks.
The camp is a great place and it helped that the other campers were friendly too.

The donkey hot water system is a nice feature.

The Ranger staff keep the place clean and functional and a good to have a chat to if you see them.

Lots of birds. We saw evidence of koalas but didn’t spot any.

One of the most underrated NP in Queensland. A beautiful place especially after the rains

What a lovely treat Crows Nest National Park is! If you're a fan of moss & lichen, you're going to 'ooh' and 'aah' quite a lot on your walk through.

On a weekday morning we managed to walk the trail to Koonin Lookout without seeing one other person the entire time. There were no sounds except for birds, creaking trees and the sound of our shoes along the path.

Reaching the top of Koonin Lookout for the first time will take your breath away. Up at the lookout I found myself feeling small, and started to realise how ancient our landscape is.

If you want to experience a walking trail that is quite different to others around SEQ - Crows Nest National Park would be a suitable option.
