August Moon Caravan Park

Fantastic pet friendly place to stay. Amenities are spotlessly clean, best camp kitchen we have seen in 7 months of travelling. Hosts Cameron and Julie knowledgeable on local tourist attractions.

This might not be the fanciest place in the world no, but we were nearly caught in floods with a baby and these guys went above and beyond to give us a place to stay. I can not say thankyou enough. You guys saved our trips to Cairns where we would eventually fly to Japan from so from bottom of my heart thankyou for giving us a warm and dry place to sleep and shower.

The second time we have stayed here and just love the place, wide van sites beautiful gardens and well maintained lawns. Plus the toilet and shower blocks are meticulously cleaned every day. It’s now one of our favorite places to stay and the owners are incredibly helpful and friendly. A real bonus is it’s pet friendly and lots of places to go for walks. Overall a very pleasant and quiet stay

Pleasant stay. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly, introduced the local sights in the area even though it was late and I was the only thing stopping him from locking up for the night.

Clean toilets and showers, and camp kitchen had microwave, plenty of clean cookware and cutlery and even a TV!

Only negative point is some of the sites are quite near the highway so it might get noisy at night for sensitive sleepers.

We recently spent two nights in a cabin here after experiencing car problems. The self-contained cabin was well equipped, clean, spacious and comfortable. The park, whilst located just out of town, is certainly not too far from Innisfail proper, and we had no issue having takeaway delivered. The laundry facilities were great, and whilst we didn't need to use the camp kitchen it looked amazing. Huge, huge thanks to both Cameron and Julie (Park managers) who were just so lovely, and their kindness and helpful assistance were incredibly appreciated. Highly recommend staying here!

We travelled from Melbourne and have stayed in many caravan parks along the east coast, Cameron and Julie was the most hospitable we have experienced especially being ethnics. Cameron brings you himself to the site and guides the vehicles back into sites for everyone. The toilets were cleaned every morning on time and laundries machines were well maintained. 👌 Accessible to plenty of water falls and attractions. Highly recommend.

Very quite and nice place located in a strategic position to visit many fabulous spots in the area, the amenities and the kitchen are functional and clean and most of all the staff was super helpful and spent time to explain us where to go. I really recommend this place if you want to sleep in this area!

Almost 4 weeks we have been on the road doing FNQ road trip, This Park is ONE OF THE BEST WE'VE STAYED!! The hosts ( Julie and Cameron ) have done super great to the park. Everything super well kept, clean and those hot and showers are so great!! We love the giant trees giving shades to the park and they look beautiful, we don't have those type of trees down in SEQ! Highly recommended!👍👍

We were looking for somewhere to stop overnight on our way back from Cape York in August last year and all the parks in and around Cairns were full. I jumped on Google and found August Moon Caravan Park just outside Innisfail and gave them a call. Fit us I and we loved the place that much we booked an extra night and had a good look around the area, just beautiful.I think we might have to revisit this area and when we do, will definitely be staying at this Caravan park.

We recently stayed at the August Moon with my partners 90yr old Mum (in a cabin) . Cameron and Julie were very accommodating and made us all feel very welcome. Highly recommend the park for cleanliness and ammenities were spotless. This was my second stay >>> first one was around July 1974 🤦🏻‍♂🤦🏻‍♂.

Enjoyed a week here visiting the many anazing attractions in the area. The site was roomy with trees and gardens either side for privacy.. The amenities were spotless and the owners friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

August Moon has the best host I have ever meet running a holiday park. Cameron and Julie are very good at keeping the park and amenities clean and tidy. Welcoming all guests with a personal touch of guidance to your site. Thanks Cameron 😊.

August Moon is a lovely caravan park and Cameron and Julie were incredibly welcoming and helpful when we arrived. I stayed in a cabin for the four nights and it was very clean and comfortable. The facilities were excellent and always clean. They allowed me an early checkin which was very kind. Highly recommend this park!!

Clean park with very friendly staff. We stayed one night in a powered site under some monumental trees. Great space with a pool and ping pong table that kept the kids busy. Close to some really nice falls that are worth a visit.

This is a great caravan park, if you are heading to Cairns and want to stop overnight or even longer a great place to stay.
The managers were very friendly, the park was very clean, and it had a friendly feel to it.
It is $35 for powered site and only 4 klms out of town.

We booked for 4 nights and stayed 9. Great caravan park with big sites, plenty of space between them and very friendly staff. Minimal traffic noise yet still close to the highway and the perfect place to hub from for waterfall walks, beaches and the many other attractions close by. Also loved the pizza night, pie night and live music.

Lovely family run park with grass/slab sites. Hosts Cameron and Julie are fantastic. Help you park your vehicle and provided heaps of information on things to do in the area. Amenities and pool all spotless! Nice hot showers! They also did a fund raiser for the local hospital with a sausage sizzle and toad races, great fun. Highly recommend.
