Well stocked gift shop with some interesting items like bee venom moisturiser and a cafe with all sorts of drinks and honey related snacks. Friendly attentive staff took us through all the honey tastings. Would definitely recommend a visit on your way through :)

Usually make a visit once a year to this place & it never disappoints. The owner (and other staff I've dealt with) are always friendly, patient & incredibly helpful in finding you the perfect honey to take home.

Never thought I'd see so many different variations of honey- wait until you try the tasting bar. Lots of options, lots to learn. We personally enjoy the Red Ironbark & Creamed Honey.

Highly recommended. 🐝

This was a great experience in such a lovely venue. Quite a lot of information on the bees and very interesting watching them work. We tried the ice cream, various flavoured honey and spotted the queen. Definitely recommended to pass half an hour in the afternoon if you're passing through.

We had the pleasure of taking our autistic grandson for lovely afternoon here.
He found the bees very interesting and actually spent quite a bit of time watching them or the very informative video on show.
Of course his favourite part was getting his tub of beautiful Creamed Honey.
My Nan always had Creamed Honey and I loved it then and still do today

Nice little place, last time I was here was in 2002! Loved the ice creams: the honey and honeycomb was the best, the honey and coconut (dairy free) was good too, but the honey taste was much stronger in the other ice cream. Also got some honey and eucalyptus drop and honey bears.

Friendly staff, lots of quaint and quirky bee/honey related gifts. Several varieties of honey on sale in retail and bulk quantities. The honey and macadamia nut icecream is delicious.

What a great place to stop in Urunga. We stopped here July 2023.
The owners are welcoming and have a lot of years making honey. They have a beehive you can view and watch the bees working and see the Queen Bee wondering around her hive. We were lucky to have a chat and got some great information on the bees. It is good to find out what actually goes into making your jar of honey. It is not that easy. Then go into the shop and drool over the selection of honey. We got the Coffs Coast Flora and it is genuinely the nicest honey we have both had. I am sure the other types on sale are equally as nice. Sadly, it was not possible to buy it all!!! We also got some choc honeycomb. That didn't last long. I would recommend making the time to stop and support such a great business. Thanks The Honey Place.

Cute little place to visit. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Morning tea of great coffee and delicious homemade scones with jam and cream was wonderful! Lovely man serving us also pointed us in the direction of other local attractions. Beautiful part of our country to visit.

Amazing customer service and friendliness. A beautiful family owned business, worth the visit. I recommend tasting the honey, buy a jar of your favourite and then sit and have some on some scones. Forget the Big Banana, come visit the Big Beehive!

I hadn't been here in about 15 years but had to stop on our drive to the Gold Coast. Please if you are driving, turn off at Urunga. It's well worth it. With the M1 going straight past it, a lot of people will miss this wonderful place. Lovely friendly owners. Beautiful shop and you can see a working bee hive through perspex. Amazing. Also a nursery with lovely plants and an information area out back with videos etc. Highly recommended.

Found this little gem on the way to Coffs Harbour. We initially thought it was just a small shop selling honey, but it was much more than that! Behind the shop, they have an open area which has a live beehive display, plant nursery and small exhibit with interesting facts about different types of bees and the honey making process. There were also clean toilet facilities. While inside the shop, we had the chance to do a honey tasting session (like wine tasting but for honey!), in which we got to try different types of honey and briefed on how each of them was sourced and produced. It was highly informative and helped us to appreciate all the hard work put in to produce honey. Not to mention that the honeycomb ice cream we bought on the way out was one of the best we’ve tried. All in all a great experience!

Staff were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us! Ice cream was amazing and even though I personally don’t love honey the tasting was enjoyable! Would loved to have seen more bee- ecology based displays. Perhaps the owners could reach out to universities for help producing displays/ activities etc.

Overall great!!!
