The Family Retreat

We stayed here 2 night for our Team Retreat and it was an amazing place to stay! Lots of comfy beds and space to chill out. They had a great Kitchen to prepare meals, coffee pods for coffee machines, projector and screen to use, and a table tennis. They were extremely accommodating and we had no problems at all. We will absolutely be back with the team! Thank you!

hours off questions deliberation popping in to check on things then them following up with me multiple times on the day to make sure it all went to plan. had a large group stay and not one complaint.

Recently stayed at this property with a large amount of guests. When arriving there was no guidance on how to check in to our property. The house was already unlocked with a key in the door. There was a male sleeping in the back of his van 3m from the front door. This key didn’t even lock the front door, we were unable to lock it the entire time (with no response when we asked for help on this matter) the fridge was broken. Mould in the water dispenser, mould on the pillow cases. No one to replace towels/ linen and no laundry to clean for ourselves. We had to reuse dirty towels. It looked like a backpackers retreat behind us (10m away in the same property/back yard) which we did not know about and had atleast 15 cars during our stay which came there. Some of them even approached the property, where walking around checking the house out or the cleaner who didn’t introduce herself just came in and out of the cleaning supplies room everyday but never cleaned our property.
The amount of random people was very off putting especially with children who just want to run around. We had a volleyball game set up for the kids which she ripped out and complained about (before we even knew who she was)
Good size, well equipped, clean on arrival.

Unfortunately very disappointed to say the least. Over priced for what was offered.

Hodge bridge cooking equipment, modem but no access to wifi (2023 people) wifi is a standard feature these days.

Floors weren’t cleaned properly, door track to sliding door off living area, absolutely filthy. Wire sliding door kept falling off the track and wouldn’t butt to the other allowing bugs in.

Bathroom has mould in it. Curtains are hodge bodge and don’t block out light, so you’re awake as soon as it lightens up.

For $266 a night, put some love into the place. I hate doing negative reviews, but honestly was not worth what we paid, not by a long shot.

we recently stayed there 5 days for our daughter’s wedding, we booked the main house which on arrival was clean and tidy. There was a white van parked out the front door about 10 metres away with a guy in it with his bed in the back i asked if he worked there he replied no ! the first issue then we reported one of the refrigerators not working with 17 people staying it would have been good to have that working but no one addressed the problem. We then had people coming up to the house and entering the laundry which was inside our house we rented either picking up supplies to clean the smaller chalets further down from us, we had upto 4-6 cars randomly rock up and do this, not announcing themselves once and never cleaning our place they had direct access through the laundry to the house, on the morning of the wedding is girls were all getting ready with hairdresser and makeup artist there and a guy just walks past our bedroom window goes into the laundry grabs 3 rolls of toilet paper and walks back past our window again.
Another car pulls up a guy and his little son get out while the woman was obviously getting supplies and i asked him who he was as he was walking around our house past all our windows he said i’m here with my partner she’s a cleaner, i said do any of you realise we have rented this property for a wedding and there seems to be no privacy or respect for our privacy?
he apologised and i spoke to his partner saying that it is not good enough that anyone can just rock up here go into the laundry grabbing things they lock the door from the inside of the laundry but we couldn’t from the inside ? she told me she would get the manger to speak to me and i replied we had already tried to get hold of them about the fridge still no reply, they seemed to have turned the laundry for house into a cleaners room which left us no way to do laundry yet the smaller chalets had washing machines, the house was great fully equipped to service a big group of people it was just very disappointing the amount of people randomly coming into the house especially having 11 of them being children running around, no communication and no respect for our privacy. The business showed a lack of professionalism and seemed to run like a backyard set up Disappointing to say the least.
