Had the best experience here! Unpowered sites are huge! Staff is super friendly, nice bar & restaurant! Food is good and not expensive. However, be aware that Clairview actually has nothing to offer except for this camping and its beach. It was quite calm in February. Make sure to take a walk on the beach and search for crabs and other stuff, at low tide.

Absolutely fantastic stay. Incredibly warm welcome and comfortable, clean cabins. Had dinner and a beer at the restaurant after a long walk along the beach with the dogs. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

We stayed on a powered site for four nights, a wonderful quiet spot. The food was amazing, the staff were all super helpful and we are definitely going back again. The kids all had a ball. The water wildlife is amazing to sit and watch.

Absolute hidden gem!! Highly recommended. Amazing management and friendly staff, great atmosphere for families and children needing somewhere to stay while on the road. Beautiful views, clean amenities, they even have a bar! We will be back!

Excellent stay with family and friends, very pleasant management and staff.
Some work could be done in bar areas to give it something special..owners better put some money back into " the money maker "
before its to late.
Great place to visit.

STUNNING! We chose a beach front unpowered site to park the RV. Absolutely gorgeous place! Didn't use amenities or the bar/diner, so can't comment on these.
Very quiet area, plenty of space, and you couldn't wake up to a better view IMO.
We saw a dugong & two turtles early in the morning, just metres off the beach in front of us. The tide goes out considerably, exposing rock pools and leaving mangrove trees high & dry.
Highly recommend.

Great place to spend the night. Had a few moments of bliss on the beach soaking up the serenity of the ocean and surrounds. With a great restaurant on the sand and lots of activities for the kids this place has something for everyone.

Beautiful little spot to stop in and take a break.

We were meant to stay here a night however plans changed so we grabbed some lunch then carried on back south.

Food was great, service was great, and the view was even better. Clean bathrooms.

Beautiful place to relax and unwind. Looking at the water from your annex and seeing how far the tide recedes is amazing. The meals and service at the bar is A1. Price for our stay was fantastic, was going to stay for 1 night which turned into 3. Would definitely stay again. No

Okay so I’m going to start with the cabins are average but clean and decent especially when you’re in a very small town. The service and community at the caravan park is great! The area is clean, a lovely playground on the beach for kids, dinner is available. It really just had a nice, warm friendly feel. Honestly if you need to stop between Mackay and Rocky, this is the place to stay. Trust me. It’s the best place along that stretch

If i could give this place more than 5 starts i would!!
Where to start, the staff are all so lovely and very accommodating, had 2 bikes to park on utes and was advised to let reception staff know if we weren’t happy with cabin parking so they could accommodate elsewhere, $140 for 4 people absolute bargin, beautiful ocean view and friendly people staying at the park. Gardens well maintained and grounds kept in clean condition.
We had the steaks from the bar menu and these were AMAZING, food was cooked and served quickly.
We will definitely be staying back here and could not fault a thing about Barracab caravan park😃

We stopped here over night on our travels south and decided to have a meal at the quirky restaurant. WOW!!! The service was outstanding. My husband and I have dietary requirements and the staff especially Cassie went over and above to ensure that we had a fabulous meal out with our friends. Thank you Barracrab!!!!

Excellent camp spot. We stayed for a night on an unpowered site in our van but could of easily stayed another couple. Amenities are clean, a shop and even a bar and bistro if you can’t be bothered cooking. Super busy but big sites plenty of room. Lovely views. Big tides. Highly recommend.

Great place to camp the night, has a little pub on location where you can have dinner or a cold drink. The beach is just there as well. There was I'm assuming a resident car who was super friendly. The bathrooms were very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Slight down fall not the caravan parks fault just the highway noise but earplugs can fix that right up

We arrived at the park and had a seaview ,power and water. Unfortunately I got sick. We asked if they had a cabin . They went above and beyond to be helpful and even plugged the motorhome into power,to keep the fridge going. Beautiful place we will definitely be back.
Thankyou

We stayed on an unpowered site with tons of space around us. Facilities clean and showers hot. Beer cold, prawns cold, live music very entertaining. Sunsets were lovely. Staff are really nice people. Great spot.

Very good campsite, possibility to choose plots with or without electricity. The spaces are very spacious, the bathrooms are very clean and in excellent condition. Very close to the beach, you can enjoy listening to the sound of the sea at night. We will come back!
Prices May 2023:
$ 38 / night without power
$ 42 / night with power
