Psyche Bend Pumping Station

Great piece of history that has taken a bit of cleaning after the flood.

What a secret treasure this place is. We happened to visit on a running day. We saw them starting up the big engine and the team of overalled gentlemen oiling and monitoring. Totally recommend a visit to that working piece of history. The boiler unit is just as impressive as the engine. Can't believe it was just sitting at vic rail

Very awesome setup! Amazing fully functional steam powered 1000hp pumps. The care taker will happily take out around the system and explain functionality of every bit. Please consider a generous donation in the kitty box, as this service is heald 100% by volunteers.

Nice spot on the river East of Mildura. Historic pumping station (Chaffey). A bit of dirt road to get in. Can be rough if there has been plenty of rain and no maintenance. Free camping sites on the water close by.

Fantastic to see the old pump working, but need to check their Facebook page for the specific event dates.

Lovely river spot for the family, great walking trails. We came here to do a photo shoot for my son's first birthday. Absolutely loved it

Great to visit on an open day! The gentleman volunteer was a wealth of knowledge.

Excellent facility, great history and full credit to the Sunraysia Steam Preservation society.
Unlike the 2km of road into the site which is a disgrace that the Mildura council needs to remedy.
Note opening is at 1pm not 10am as still shown on some internet links. Well worth a visit to this rare piece of historical engineering.

A must see, next times are easter 2022 and queens birthday 2022

What a great visit, a well preserved and presented facility with knowledgeable attendant and interesting display. Although the boiler and engine were not operating on the day of our visit, knowing that they operate and seeing how well they are obviously looked after I would love to return when it is running. Apparently the next time will be Easter.

Great spot, glad I got to visit on their open day over Easter. Definitely worth going and watching these wonderful men that volunteer their time to show people this great place.

Very interesting outing made all the better by Peter, the volunteer's knowledge of the pumps and steam engine. If you have a for engineering it's a must see and one of a kind in the world.

Fantastic camping. Large sites, beautiful views and you can sit and watch the paddlesteamers go past. Not far from Mildura.
