This place had everything we needed plus more to nourish our hungry bellies and warm our spirits.
We tried the fried chicken burger which was ginormous, tender, juicy and crunchy.
The Thai soup was so delicious. It was filled with hearty root veggies & so flavoursome with beautiful garnishes to enhance the dish-aesthetically and delightful for the tastebuds.
Our Flat White and Chai latte were amazing!
Service was super friendly and on point. Mr Foster most definitely pours his heart into this business.
Gorgeous little rustic, arty, peaceful venue. So glad we stopped in!!
We will definitely return to Mr Foster’s for another meal when we travel to Balingup! 🍁💛✨🍁💛✨🍁💛✨🍁💛✨🍁💛

It was one of those serendipitous encounters that only happen when you follow your gut. And trust me, when it comes to food, my gut has never led me astray. So there I was, strolling through the bustling streets of an unfamiliar city, when a colorful sign caught my eye: "Mr Foster's Cafe." Something about it whispered promises of culinary delights and unexpected adventures. I couldn't resist.

As I pushed open the door, a symphony of aromas embraced me. It was a melange of fragrances: freshly baked bread mingled with the tantalizing spices of distant lands, while the faint hint of coffee danced in the air. The atmosphere buzzed with chatter, laughter, and the clinking of cutlery—a soundtrack of contented souls.

The staff greeted me with warmth and a genuine smile. The man behind the counter, none other than Mr Foster himself, was a character straight out of a Hollywood comedy. With a twinkle in his eye and a mischievous grin, he took my order, leaving me with a sense of anticipation. If the man behind the counter exuded so much charm, I couldn't help but wonder what awaited me on my plate.

First up, the chicken cheese and salad roll. Now, let me tell you, my friend, it was a work of art. The crusty exterior gave way to a medley of flavors, each ingredient playing its part in a harmonious symphony. The succulent chicken, kissed by the smoky grill, melted into a creamy blanket of cheese. And the salad! Oh, the salad. Fresh greens danced with the tang of tomatoes and the crisp crunch of cucumbers. It was a sandwich fit for the gods, a humble masterpiece that proved beauty could be found even between two slices of bread.

But wait, there was more. A sweet chili prawn salad, they said. And supreme it was. The first bite transported me to a tropical paradise, where the sea breeze caressed my skin and the waves whispered secrets. The prawns, plump and succulent, were kissed by a sweet and fiery chili sauce that danced on my taste buds. They lay on a bed of vibrant greens, a riot of colors that mirrored the liveliness of the streets outside. It was a dish that captured the essence of the place—a delicate balance of heat, sweetness, and freshness.

As I savored each morsel, I couldn't help but reflect on the cultural significance of the food before me. Every dish, every flavor, was a testament to the stories of the people who created them. It was a tapestry woven with passion, heritage, and the desire to nourish both body and soul. In that tiny cafe, I tasted the heart of a community, the spirit of a place that cherished its culinary traditions.

And so, my dear friend, as I sat there in Mr Foster's Cafe, indulging in the divine and the supreme, I felt a deep appreciation for the human experience. Food has a way of connecting us, of bridging gaps and breaking down barriers. In each bite, we can uncover a slice of a culture, a piece of someone's story.

So if you ever find yourself wandering through the streets of a foreign city, let your gut guide you. Seek out the hidden gems, the local haunts, and the Mr Foster's Cafes of the world. For it is in those moments of culinary adventure that we truly come alive, embracing the thrill of the unknown and savoring every delicious bite of the human experience.

We stopped off at Ballingup which is a beautiful village and decided to have lunch at Mr Fosters at the Packing shed. What a surprise it was! We had the big burger and Mr Fosters salad duo. Food was excellent! Everything was beautiful fresh,

A delightful little cafe! It became our local away from home for the week we stayed just outside Balingup. Coffee was amazing, and the people were friendly as can be! Definitely going to have to make a point to stop by on our way down south in future.

Had a great breakfast here. I don't normally have the big breakfast, but after riding 40km from Nannup, decided to go the full hog and have the full cooked breakfast. It was great- I hardly needed to eat again that day. The mushrooms especially were very good.
Also a thank you to the staff for holding a rain jacket I left, until it could be picked up.

Very friendly and helpful staff and the food was good. The portion sizes are huge so would suggest to buy a single item first and then reorder if need be. We ordered hot chips, Chicken Salad sandwich and Gourmet Vegetable puff( forgot the actual name 😂). The food was yum but we ended up taking a box since we could not finish the food. Highly recommend if you are near Balingup!

The best little gem of a café in the South West. I tried a chicken & salad roll and it was, quite frankly, the best I’ve ever tasted in my time on this planet!
The roll was awesome, the chicken was warm and tasty and the salad was multi-layered, generous and wholesome; clearly made with care and fresh ingredients.
Well done Mr Foster, you and your staff are a credit to the region.
Also, the very interesting local history museum in the building was a surprising delight.
